Good location for easy access to places to eat and shops without needing to drive. We stayed there so we could go see the blue penguins in their natural habitat at dusk when they return from the sea to their nesting area. The penguin conservation centre, where they tell you about them, and you see the penguins arrive is well worth the 40NZ per person. Only a short drive from motel. Bed was very comfortable and shower good too. Useful having basic kitchen facilities and off road parking. All in all good value stay.

The motel was conveniently situated for our purpose and had everything we needed to prepare an easy evening meal, with food n=bought at a nearby supermarket, We enjoyed using a table and chairs on the upper level balcony to eat out meal. The staff were very helpful as I left something hanging in a wardrobe and they sent it on for me.

Stayed overnight in the compact studio room which was clean, comfortable and in a great location with dining options within walking distance, and not too far to the Victorian precinct. It also had a coffee machine :)

Could have gone for a larger room as we had two large suitcases as we were travelling from overseas and it was a bit cramped in the compact studio, but for one night it was ok.

Great for our 3 day visit. Small kitchenette in compact room but everything we needed. Staff happy to wash dishes but everything is supplied if you prefer to do it yourself. Comfortable bed and great shower.

Right on the main road so easy to find and access. Modern and clean, nice decor, lovely. Friendly welcoming staff.

My only beef is a small one really: instructions. I couldn’t figure out how to work the heater, coffee maker or TV channels. Some brief instructions would have helped a lot. I did leave feedback in the room.

Excellent staff, really helpful and knowledgeable. Room was light and airy and everything in working order. Location suited us and we used it as a base to leave the car and walk to all the attractions. It was possible to walk out to the penguin area and return via the main street and eat out.

Length of stay was too short.

Friendly staff, our toilet broke and the man gave us a new room and even switched the heater on in the new room for us. Very accomodating. Room was very clean and comfortable bed.

A bit of a walk into the main CBD, we ended up driving in for dinner.

That you couldn't reach the toilet roll sitting on the seat ...they wanted you toshut the shower door to stop steam but the shower door didn't shut properly. Sign up saying collapsible sink but no where to be found. Grass not mowed barbeque shoved around the corner no barbeque area available. Easy cheap things to fix.

Friendly welcome. Use of laundry facilities for a small charge. Easy 20 minute walk into town.

Room was a touch on the small side - we have had far larger rooms for less cost elsewhere on our tour around NZ.

Clean, tidy. Ground floor unit. Good king bed. Parking in front of the unit. Close to takeaway food outlets and bottle shop.

Nothing really. Busy main road but no traffic noise in room, so no problem.
