I have stayed before, the room was nice, clean and a good size I didn’t request a room at the opposite end of the road, however the noise was not to bad On my next visit, I will ask for a rear unit Lots of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate

We had two adults and one almost 5 yo, I am sure if I asked Owen he would have provided a couple more body wash, bubble bath and shampoo as the one bottle of each soon disappeared It was also good to have netflicks as sky movies were not available

The room for 3 friends was very accommodating, we each had a bed and there was plenty of space and room for us not to be in each other's pockets. The staff inparticular the cleaners were very helpful and friendly.

The one thing and it is such a minor thing that I am just nit picking because I was asked to put something, was that we couldn't figure out how to use our sky TV. Like I said at the start if the statement, this was so minor it's hardly worth mentioning.

convenient location, easy access to shops and hospital. room was extremely well stocked with supplies, including lots of milk and tea and coffee

only thing of note was we booked a room with disability amenities due to physical injuries and the room had a bathtub type shower that one of us wasn’t able to access due to the high sides but it wasn’t a big deal and we think it may have been a glitch on the website rather than the hotel, as there were a few booking.com website issues when booking the room.

Reasonably quiet given the motel is right next to the highway (that's with the door closed), our room was very clean, comfortable, and accessible. Close to town and good food places the room we were in did not have a kitchenette. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Very hard beds woke up with sore back and shoulders. TV is in an awkward place, and I have a sore neck watching it from the bed. You don't have a direct view it's hard to explain. The TV rack is mounted in the wrong place.

The unit was very clean and tidy, and it was very comfortable. The decor was a little dated but in very good order. The staff were very friendly and very helpful.

The bath and sink in the bathroom were dated and well used however they were very clean, and it did not affect their functionality. I was a little disappointed there was not a separate sink in the kitchenette and to clean the plates etc., you were expected to use the bathroom.

The room is warm and inviting with the heat pump going when we arrived as it was a very cold day. We have stayed at this motel before, so can fully recommend it to anyone.

The only thing we didn't like is the bed had thin blankets on it so ended up getting cold....being winter there was no extra blankets just pillows......can't leave a heat pump on all night as it is fairly noisy.....

The staff were super friendly and understanding. The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was quite big for what I was expecting. Would recommend. 9/10.

There was a slightly odd smell for the first couple of days, however this went away and wasn't a serious issue.

Plenty of space within the unit. It was all very clean and tidy. Had a well-equipped basic kitchenette. Had all the utensils that we required. Although the motel is located right on SH1, the road noise wasn't bad.

Our items in the fridge were frozen, including the milk pottles they provided. No drop box for the key in the morning and nobody at reception. All minor things really.

Just everything. It’s was new, bright, clean! The reclining chairs were absolutely amazing! So cozy and comfortable and the shower head had three different settings. What a treat. I felt very comfortable and safe there! Absolutely highly recommended.

The ants that discovered our food on the table overnight but that’s a common issue in New Zealand.

Very suprised at how quiet the room was, considering the property being on a main road and the lodge being full. Great room with good facilities. Price was really good. Will definitely return when needing a place to stay in Whangarei.
