All the staff are friendly, helpful, attentative, and polite. The breakfast buffet has a great selection to choose from, like fried eggs, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, omelette, and bacon, mini sausages, and there's fresh bread and rolls theres fruit and cereal cold meats and cheese fresh daily. Tea, coffee fruit juice water all available. The restaurant in the evening is great. The waiting staff are all helpful polite and informative. The kitchen staff and chef all know how to make great meals, and the food is fantastic. The room I was in was clean, spacious with a double bed that was so comfy plus an iron and board, TV, mini fridge, and 2 chairs and kettle with tea and coffee in the room. The view from the window was of the main carpark and the sea where cruise ships Dock when visiting Alesund. The bathroom located in the room is a very good size with a good shower, quite a large sink, and a toilet plus shaving mirror on a wall mounted swivel arm. There is a small selection of snack items you can purchase in the main lobby, like drinks, chocolate bars, crisps, and ice creams. The location is also really good for walking around, taking in the sights of Alesund.

The problem with my stay was that I couldn't appreciate some of the facilities and the bed like I should have been able to due to injuries sustained before. This was because I had been involved in an accident and was hospitalised, and when I was discharged and awaiting medical clearance before, I could fly back home to London. I stayed for 9 nights at the Quality Hotel waterfront THE HOTEL IS GREAT!!!

Access to reception from the road, with luggage, could have been easier. Only a minor issue. There were 4 or 5 steps which looked smart, and a narrow ramp on which to drag suitcases. But it wasn’t easy. The entrance could have easily been altered into a gradual slope. Having travelled on trains, boats, and busses to get there, I could do without extra hassle!

We stayed here some years ago as well.We got a nice room with view to the water,that was great for a kid who followed the ships together with parents.We had a very good stay this time as well. Was almost surprised by the amount of people they had in the restaurant/kitchen for breakfast,meaning they were very many compared to other places.

These are just some remarks and not something we disliked. One of the few rooms where you can't lock the toilet from inside,but the architectural-artistic frozen glass construction doesn't let for it either.For us with an older kid it was not a problem anyway and we even enjoyed the cube :) Another point I can't say didn't like,as we are not pretentious and you don't stay hungry anyway ,as they provide with the typical Norwegian style breakfast.Nevertheless,it might seem a bit of little selection if you are used to huger variety.

So typical nowadays in many hotels- the shower is fully integrated to the bathroom floor without a sufficient separation or protection. Every shower therefore results in flooding the complete bathroom floor. Why is not at least a full length shower screen provided, so easy to fix !

The location of this hotel worked out really well for us. It was close enough in walking distance to the city center, fjord tour pick up, restaurants, shopping and the bus terminal. Breakfast was delicious with many choices.

The hotel is located close to the center in a quiet area. Very nice and helpful staff. I recommend!

There is a small car park in front of the hotel which was occupied all the time. The second car park is located in the back of the hotel in the "garage", but it is difficult to locate. High price of 24h parking.

Clean room and a nice glass balcony to see the waterfront. Love the many sitting areas to view the nice waterfront. Breakfast spread ok. Need to pay for parking near hotel. Overall ok with our stay.

Pulldown extra bed a bit small.

Close to bus station. Good buffet breakfast. Close to central town and cruise ship terminal.

My room was interior with smoked glass windows. More expensive rooms have better views.

Facilities and location … close to wharf … great local bus service with drop off close to hotel … very helpful bus driver

Spacious, clean and neat room, with all necessary facilities.

Mattress wasn’t very comfortable, I won’t make it a big complaint though as it could have been caused my physical challenge.
