Close to Railway, Resteraunts nearby.Great veiw from the top of a hill. Small but well equipped rooms.

Great view but 1/3 mile from the station was up a big hill. Google maps guided us badly, so the last 50 yards were up a gravel path. Then about 40 steel stairs. Not suitable for full size wheely luggage. Best take a taxi , not really the Hotels fault. Many pictures of a lovely dining room, it is. However after travelling sleeper train from Stockholm found out they only cater to large parties for dinner. In our case there was a private party. So down the hill or go without :(

We had a family room which consisted of two rooms that could be separated by double doors with a small table. The view was exceptional and the rooms were stylishly decorated. The shower was amazing and the breakfast range was great with plenty of gluten-free options that were well labelled. There was a large communal breakfast and sitting room with an outside balcony. The hotel felt luxurious and beyond the price bracket that we paid.

The hotel is at the top of a big hill from town so expect a climb to get there. Our bedroom was in the eaves so head room was limited if you are on the tall side. We had a small kettle and tea and coffee but no coffee machine and few plug sockets close to the kettle.

The stay in this property was just one big WOW! Everything was so clean and neat! The rooms were nice and cosy. Their size was a bit small, which was compensated by a common area on each floor with a sofa and table with cattle and tea, coffee and sugar available for guests. The staff were super nice and welcoming, always available to help. The breakfast, which was included in the final price, was excellent! There was a selection of beautifully arranged sliced fruits, ham, cheese, bakery products, yoghurt, cereals, scrambled eggs, etc. Tea, coffee, and juices were also available. The breakfast was served in a dining/social room of the building which was again very cosy, the design was very stylish with lots of nice and matched details and made us feel very warm and like at home. The view from the dining room was just spectacular! The room had large windows and we had a view of everything that was facing this room as the property is situated uphill and the dining room was situated on the 4th, penultimate floor of the building. Honestly, if I were to stay there next time, it would be only because of this view!

I would appreciate more AC power sockets in our room. We had a room for 4 people and there were only 2 sockets available and we could not charge all our electric appliances simultaneously. Our room was situated on the lowest floor and we had a view of a somewhat run-down concrete porch from our window that was not even accessible from this floor or from our room. However, this feature of our stay is absolutely negligible, I think I mention it only to fill in this field describing negative things.

Only a few minutes walk from the train station and the center of town, the guest house was a welcome stop after a long journey north. The manager was very communicative, we had a family room that had delightfully tasteful scandi decor. Although the restaurant was only open for dinner, it was easy to get takeout from town and have it on the hotel terrace

It was a bit warm in our room, but no fault of the property - we were visiting during a freakishly warm (and gorgeous) summer. The manager found us a fan to use, which helped.

Views, breakfast, loung area to relax and meet others

Lots of stairs which was challenging for my elderly Mum. We did indicate in our booking importance of access. This detail was missed by hotel. Though on arrival they did move my mum’s room so she didn’t have to manage any more stairs once in the hotel.

Room was spacious, and had beds for my children in a partially separated part of the room. Breakfast was almost as it is on hotels, with both hot and cold choices, juice, coffe, tea and basically everything you need for a good start of the day. We came late, but check in was still smooth. We got a code for the main entrance, found our key card at the front desk and had no trouble finding the room.

It was very hot in the room when we arrived. It had been several very hot days before we arrived, which could be part of the explanation. Still it was very uncomfortable. During summer the sun never sets, and we had trouble getting the room dark enoug to comfortably fall asleep.

Great views from both the bedroom and the lovely public lounge area. Coffee, tea and small Norwegian baked treats are put out for guests to enjoy any time. Breakfast was reasonable but the room where it was served was really Scandinavian atmospheric and dimly (in a good way) lit to add to the feel of the place.

Breakfast lacked hot food even if it had plenty other stuff. Walls in rooms on floor 2 are quite thin so you can hear music, TV and voices talking from next door.

The service and the room. The receptionists are the best! Sølvi and Berre are always ready and happy to assist us. Their smiles gave us warm feeling of welcome. They are very professional! The best guesthouse we've ever stayed at! Breakfast are superb and the view from our room are great! We saw the northern lights right from our bedroom window! Thanks for making us feel at home!

Private toilet could be improved.

The whole place was clearly well managed, with friendly staff, excellent and spotlessly clean facilities, in a lofty position overlooking the town and the fjord. It was a comfortable place to spend time relaxing, within reasonable walking distance of the main town centre albeit involving a quite steep climb up from the main road, as we were travelling by foot. The bed was comfortable, the bedroom provided a wonderful view of the midnight sun (in late June), the breakfast was good with a panoramic view!

We had no complaints.

The hotel has an outside patio with a nice view. Our room also had a nice view (4th floor) overlooking the city and the fjord. The breakfast was very impressive, with options for all 3 of us- the vegetarian, the carnivore and the carb-lover.

The 3 person room was quite tight for 3 adults. There was no mini-fridge, but maybe they aren't as common in this area. The bathroom door is a swinging frosted glass door, so it doesn't feel very private. However, we would still stay here again for a short visit.
