Very, very friendly hotel team. Reception, Housekeeping, Restaurant, Hotel Engineering are performing at their best level. Very good sleeping comfort with very good mattress. Good breakfast with fresh cooked egg-options. Restaurant team is remembering your individual favourites. Offering special breakfast for sahur. 24/7 complete reception service. Very well equipped Gym. Nearly unlimited parking.

Hotel management should inform the clients before booking about construction activities in terms of the hotel extension. There are extremely loud activities between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.. In addition, the hotel management should inform the clients before booking about non-available services such as the swimming pool, because of the construction works. Best regards, Ralf Bahling

I say this from the bottom of my heart that I could not recommend another hotel more than Sur Grand Hotel! We had 2 flat tires an hour out of sur at midnight. Hotel had 24 hour reception, Hussein picked up within a few rings and was so reassuring, chartered a taxi back for us and arranged for everything the next day to help us fix our tires even though it was a weekend. Owner of hotel even came down to send his regard and make sure we were ok. Truly wonderful experience of Omani hospitality! Other than that, room was impeccable, had a free upgrade with balcony view, breakfast was sumptuous

We were pleased with the high standard of the generous-sized, well-furnished rooms. The beds were comfortable and a large breakfast buffet prepared us for our travels the next morning. Upon arrival, our greeting from the manager exuded warm Omani hospitality and we experienced excellent service throughout our short stay.

Our only complaint was the many electrical switches. It was a bit of a game to determine which switches operated which lights/outlets. A minor inconvenience.

We had a great stay (one night). The room was clean and had a great sea view. The personnel were very friendly. If you have a car, it takes around 10 minutes to go to Sur - thus it’s a good place to stay with if you are planning to explore Sur and the area. it also has a small rooftop pool. Good value for money.

Upon arrival we were told that breakfast would be until 10 am. Next morning at 8:45 am they called the phone in our room (woke us up) and said that breakfast is only until 9 am because of Ramadan. They offered to bring it to the room, but we decided to simply hurry downstairs to eat breakfast. Also there was a light smell in the bathroom.

The breakfast as well the dinner (we booked a room including dinner) was very good. The hotel room looked really new. Unfortunately for the momen construction works take place. So it is a little bit noisy in the morning. But the at the hotel reception was a hint and an apology for the inconvenience. We think this is Okay so.

Construction works

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Hotel. Overall, my stay was satisfactory. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious and diverse breakfast. The options were great and everything was fresh and tasty. Additionally, the rooms were bright and spacious, with a beautiful view over the sea. The receptionists were also very helpful and accommodating to help me with any question. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. Furthermore, I found the overall value for money to be good.

Nothing in mind

The room was great. Clean and spacious. Bathroom was clean. Would love to see more hooks or small shelves in bathroom for personal toiletries.

Buffet meals were great, except they were the exact same two days in a row, which became monotonous. Change it up at least every other day for variety so guests staying consecutive nights aren't eating the same meal two days in a row.

The room is spacious, and the facilities in the room are excellent. All staff are amazing and accommodating. We missed the dinner the previous day. They provided us with complimentary lunch packs the next day. Prasant from the hotel kitchen kindly organized this. Another staff provided us with an extra bed in the middle of the night because one of our guests was too sick to share the bed with someone.

Spacious room with a big shower and an amazing sea view. Adequate breakfast, good Wi-Fi. Very clean and also the staff is super nice. Great value for money. Big parking out front and close to the beach. Very accessible, just what we needed for the night.

City of Sur is nothing to write home about, but if you are staying the night, choose this hotel. You won’t be sorry.

They kind of forgot our reservation and due to full capacity we were upgraded to their best room. So my review might be biased but that specific room was huge, very well kept, had two bathrooms and junior suite set up. We enjoyed it very much, especially the bed was comfy. The hotel staff was nice and efficient.

Only minor issue would be the breakfast which was a strange mix between middle eastern and european but at the end was not either, so as my impression, I would choose one direction ans went that way.
