Very quiet location. The rooms were nice, native furniture, screened in. The trees were amazing and the sounds of nature were really cool. Warm shower. The staff was so nice and very accommodating. Ms Sheila arranged all our tours, transportation, spa service and laundry. Food was good but limited. Miss Harriet the resident cat was a sweetie! The pool was nice and big. The water was nice and cool but there is no shallow end (6 feet deep).

The bathroom was very small. The shower was cramped and lacked lighting. At night it was warm…too warm. The was a couple of electric fans but it was still too warm for comfortable sleep. A few mosquitoes too. Restaurant needs a bigger selection of food. It’s a bit far from PP city. The walk to the beach is challenging.

The staff and management is very nice and do everything to satisfy their guests. Tasty breakfast that comes in a good amount, lunch/dinner in the restaurant is good too. Possible joyful activities inside the resort such as billiards, swimming pool, jungle walk, ... Atremaru shows that eco-friendly and carbon-free doesn't have to be in contrary to comfort, fun and quality!

My only kind of suggestion is maybe to get a Netflix access for the TV, but that's not so important. Only things that bothered to me were the very noisy animals in the early morning (maybe better to bring earplugs) and also that you have to walk uphill from your cottage to the Restaurant, Pool and Front Desk. But thats no fault of Atremaru of course. :)

We loved the service at the retreat. From the moment we booked, to the late evening that we arrived, to the day we left, the staff was so helpful, accommodating, and welcoming. I many many plans with the concierge via what'sap and I was a little nervous that things would go as planned, but everything was perfect and they went above and beyond what we were expecting in terms of tours, meals, and the accommodations. We actually had family that decided to join in on our adventures the day before our arrival. Even though my family stayed at a different hotel, the staff was able to rearrange plans and incorporate them in all our adventures. Food was also excellent. The food was better than the restaurants we at at in Palawan. We always looked forward to going back to the retreat to have our dinner. View from our room was spectacular. I was able to watch the sunset one morning and while it was a little obstructed through the trees, the colors in the skyline could still make its way past the trees. The trees just added to the scenery.

Atremaru has all the comforts of a hotel, but instead of a big blocky building it is an assortment of solid stone huts strewn into a beautiful jungle park. Everything is very well appointed, spacious and well taken care of. They even have a good restaurant. We stayed there as a basis for the underground river, but Atremaru is well worth the visit just for the place itself. Very professional and helpful staff.

The fine print about the private beach is a 30 minute walk along a sometimes adventurous path through the jungle, at the end of which you will really appreciate the ocean :-) On the way back you also have to climb 120 height meters from sea level back to Atremaru, so you will have well earned another shower. The path is quite interesting, but once was enough for us.

I am beyond happy that i got to experience this resort! Our stay was so amazing, the staff was so welcoming and helpful!! Thank you so much for eveything!! From the planning of a Birthday surprise to organising the transportation to/from the airport and most of all Thank you for the most amazing food everrrrr!! The chef even cooked food for us, which was not on the menu! The view was really breath taking!! Hope to See you soon!!

Wifi in the room would have been nice, but to be honest this really helped to experience Kind of a detox!!

We had a wonderful stay at the resort in the middle of the jungle. The rooms are very spacious, the food very tasty and Sheila, the front office manager, very helpful in organizing all the day tours we wanted. There is also a direct access to a remote beach. I recommend this place without reservation! On top, the famous «Underground River» is only 30 minutes away!

The villa was spacious, tastefully decorated and the beds comfy. Terrace was great and I enjoyed the hammocks. Also, the hotel tries to be more sustainable than comparable hotels (no plastic bottles, renewable énergies used) which gets an extra bonus in my book.

There are some negative aspects. Services and food seem over priced. A taxi from the airport in Puerto princesa cost me 2200 pesos, almost the price of the underwater River tour. The food is mediocre but the prices are expensive. There is no hot water which usually is not a problem given the local climate conditions except when it rains all day and you crave a hot shower. Also, I forgot to fill up the tank of the rental scooter (but the tank of which still was 2/3 full) and they charged 350 pesos. Not outrageous, but way more than the 1-2 l that were missing. Don't try to overcharge your own clients.

The jungle view was amazing. Our family really love being close to nature. If you are looking for a place to really relax, this is the one. The room is spacious, beautiful & clean

Just a note that the hotel is far from city center, which you would either need to ride motorbike for 1h30 min, or rent private car (for families) which will be a bit pricier. Not all tours would offer pick up at the hotel either. Also, there's a lot of mosquitoe (like really a lot) in the restroom next to reception, which the hotel will need to pay attention to that.

The staff was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience. The food was absolutely delicious, catered to vegetarians, and was often ready incredibly fast. Loved the seclusion, but proximity to all Puerto Princesa tourist attractions. We were able to reach all the major destinations via scooter that we rented from Atremaru for a very reasonable price.

As advertised, resort did not have hot water or air conditioning, which is understandable for such an eco friendly resort. All activities around the resort require use of transportation (nothing is a walkable distance), so a scooter or organized tour is a necessity.

The rooms are spacious and very clean. Electricity supply was never a problem despite being solar based. Lots of power points. The views are spectacular. Staff are ultra helpful. The resort is located quite distant from anywhere, so hire a scooter from the resort if you don't have a car, it's reasonably priced.

The beach is a very long walk and not particularly pretty, especially at low tide when swimming isn't really possible.
