Place and location amazing, staff kind and professional.

I took the cheapest room so I don't know if the other rooms had the services I did not find. I would just add to the room the kit that lots of hotels offer: a boiler and some tea, something in mini bar, in the toilet I would add the courtesy kit and air dryer (the had it in the reception so it was not a problem, but in the high season could maybe happen that someone would stay without). I wanted to call reception from the phone of the room for an information, but I did not find the number, so I had to go myself. This is just an advice to perfection, because Estalagem Muchaxo is amazing and I would suggest everyone to go there.

- Ocean view was the best element of the whole place - Big room - Amazing fresh fruits and juices - Freindly staff ( not counting one young recepcionist)

- Old bathroom with electric cables sticking from the wall - Poor breakfast :( plus the breakfast room is dirty. (The only good thing were fruits and juices) - Super unfriendly recepcionist at checkin. (Young guy) Who was swearing infront of me because he had to correct the invoice - he made mistakes, and was not accepting any help. - No regular iron in the hotel. I received a super mini travel iron that was not working...

Located right on the oceanfront, you can watch waves and surfers from your room. Rooms recently renovated and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful

The building is a few decades old, so the common areas look quite old-fashioned, but are well kept. The ventilation in the rooms is not great, so it can get pretty damp with the high humidity of the ocean air. Breakfast is quite simple, ok for 1-2 days, but gets repetitive afterwards.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Estalagen. It was so unique and everywhere you looked was gorgeous. The restaurant was delicious, the rooms were perfect with a breathtaking sea view, and the location was perfect and right in the beach. There are so many options around for food and drink. You might not want to go far from the hotel as it is a paradise in itself. Highly recommend!

The location is fantastic, the staff is nice and helpful.

The quality of the breakfast could be higher. The selection is not wide at all, but this is the less; I don't mind if there is only one type of ham or bread, if it is a good one. The range of vegetables was nothing but some tasteless tomatoes.

Exceptionally courteous and diligent staff. Magnificent location on the ocean front and the Guincho dune walks. We chose this hotel because of its "vintage" charm; the public spaces took us down memory lane.

No water provided in the room, something hotels of this standard routinely supply.

This hotel is an absolute institution. We were welcomed with warm hospitality by a very friendly staff and a charming owner who has run the hotel since its heyday in the sixties, when it was regularly visited by statesmen, diplomats and film stars. There is an air of a somewhat forgotten grandeur that lingers proudly in the architecture and decoration of the hotel. Its somewhat isolated location by the most temperamental beach of the Atlantic coast certainly ads to the drama. At times the hotel seems almost out of place in our 21st century, and we loved that very much about the Muchaxo. So if you enjoy a journey to the past every once in a while (with all that this entails) then you are bound to have a memorable stay here.

The swimming pool was closed...Very disappointed with that... Mediocre housekeepinh Old style hotel - kind of cute but at the same time needs some renewals... The noise & smell from the ocean: Of course it's not a hotel thing, it's just startled me (not in an enjoyable way haha)

The beautiful rooms, the bar, the restaurant and helpful staff make this historic hotel extra special. Love the location on the beach and views. Easy Uber ride to the center of Cascais. I will definitely return.

Lamps in lobby areas were not working in the evenings.

It’s really small things which were missing - hair conditioner and hair dryer, water in the room. It wouldn’t be a problem but there are no shops nearby. Hotels rooms are renovated but the rest of the hotel is not new
