Nearly everything, really. Nice hotel, nice room, nice people working there, nice breakfast, nice parking, nice patio. I feel that it's worth every dime paid. This was the first and the only case when I truly enjoyed the conversation with a person at the reception who turned out to be a true erudite who is into history and geography.

Coffee in the room costs 2€ extra per capsule. Didn't expect it from the hotel at this price. Also, a clearer distinction between what's included and what's extra would be good.

The hotel is beautiful, a mixture of ancient and modern located in a botanical garden. The staff is very kind and the breakfast is delicious. the location of the hotel is perfect for walking to the center of Funchal in a few minutes. Special thanks to Nuno for his availability. We had the plane overnight and Nuno brought us breakfast to take away for the trip. This holiday will be unforgettable 😍🌺

there’s some details they could improve to offer a nicer experience: tea & coffee capsules in the room for 3€ - I think it’s quite ridiculous taking into account the price of the room we were leaving for a hike before breakfast started and they didn’t offer us any solution, no picnic option etc breakfast is not that great quality and it takes quite a lot of time (we did enjoy freshly squeezed juice and different cakes every day though)

I really like the atmosphere at Arts In, it's very relaxed, the staff were wonderful at creating a sense welcome and calm, and at the end of my holiday, I made sure to thank them all, because it was exactly what I needed. The gardener and I would nod to each in the morning, it just had that good, friendly feel. The ladies covering breakfast - brilliant! Funny, kind, charming, and having a slice of cake every day was such a treat, we worked it off with all the walking. Sure there was a little bit of scuffing on walls or furniture in our room, but nothing much, and it was super clean, and yes dogs do bark around and about, but welcome to Madeira! I loved it, it's modern, relaxed and the gardens are beautiful.

Having to go home! We didn't hire a car, but I can imagine getting in and out of the carpark could be a challenge at first if you struggle with swinging a car around tight corners. I'd say stick with buses/taxis/jeep tours if you don't love driving and save yourself the bother of navigating tight/steep roads. You get to most places that way from Funchal.

Breakfast was in a-la-carte style (but you can order out of the menu whatever you want and how much you want) : always staff were offering fresh juices. Room was with a great view to Funchal and ocean, nice sunsets. Balcony was not private (shared with 3 rooms), but during our stay we were using it alone. There were living two dogs Labradore in the hotel that cheered us up every morning :). View from hotel is amazing - you can enjoy it every morning with delicious breakfast. Hotel location is also good- next to the restaurant street. Recommend this hotel for sure!

Everything was excellent.

Service is perfect, an A+ from beginning to end. Breakfast is incredible. If you are not a big breakfast eater than I recommend NOT paying for it and instead get a small meal in town or at the grocery store. I am a huge breakfast morning person, and the breakfast here was WOW!!

Noise. The floors and walls echo every movement from every guest. And being so close to town on an already small area of Funchal, it's SO NOISY! Two dogs up the road and 3 dogs below bark anytime school kids walk by or a bus stops. And the narrow fast steep fun road in front is popular with motorcycle and car racers. Most places in Funchal will be loud unless you're in one of those tall new monstrous hotels in the Hotel Zone which I would never want to be.

The small hotel is 10-12 minutes walking distance from the center, the walk back is not too steep. The complex is amazing, in the middle of a beautiful, silent, well maintaind garden, where you can find a terrace with view. Our evening host, Manuela was super kind, she gave us useful advices for eating out and shared interesting stories of the recent events of the island and its capital. The breakfast is not a bufet-type, but it was served by the smiley staff, however you can ask more of anything if you were needed. Long story short, this lovely place is really worth to try.

This is an excellent new hotel with an appealing and refreshing contemporary design. It is a well equipped apartment with everything we needed and is perfect for a couple. We loved the ambiance and the staff were super friendly. Our expansive deck on the top floor overlooked the interesting ruins of the former mill and partial ocean view. Great for watching the thunder clouds rolling in. Free parking underground was very convenient.

We missed our connection flight and arrived to the hotel in the middle of the night. Despite the time, Nuno welcomed us with a smile and very patient explanations and made the start of our trip in Madeira very pleasant. Also the rest of the staff was very nice, attentive and helpful. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. The hotel's garden is gorgeous and has a nice panoramic view of the sea and was the perfect place for breakfast. Breakfast was excellent with large variety. It is highly recommended.

Quiet and peaceful hotel in a great location to explore Madeira. 20 minutes walking distance from the Funchal old town. Convenient underground parking. Very nice, clean and spacious studio with a little kitchen and very nice view from the window (ocean). The bed was huge. Towels and bed linen were regularly changed. Spacious bathroom with bidet. Very good breakfast with various choice (sweet and salty) . We liked the homemade cakes and the pudding flavour, different everyday. Beautiful garden and terrace with sea view for breakfast. The staff was really friendly and helpful, plenty of advise on Funchal and restaurants and committed to make us feel welcome. The last day we had an early check-out and they gave us the basket breakfast anyway.
