Excelent location (in the country but with wonderfull islands and beaches, boats, in a radius of 5Km - you can walk until the Ria Formos and catch sellfich). Nice pool with kids zone. Pefect wi-fi. Very good parking inside the property, with shadow. Interesting arcitecture, like a little village

The WC was quite uncomfortable: very unpleasant entrance to the shower that seems to have been repaired but not according to the pictures in the site. In the WC no place to put the towels just a towel rack that is not enough. Very bad lighting, there is an aluminum door, all opaque, that cuts the outdoor light. The windows are not adjustable There is a broken electrical outlet. There was a single wine glass.

Loved this little village- our apartment was very spacious. No air con but we knew that in advance and there were plenty of fans provided. They accomodated us really well with early and late check outs- (allowed us to use the pool while apartment was being cleaned) even though it was peak season in August. We especially loved the pool- it was so quiet and lots of space

There were a good few ants in the kitchen but thats nobodys fault with the heat

I liked the pool, the cosiness and size of the house, the bed, the quiet location, The whole village was well laid out. We especially loved the cats as they gave the place a touch of being at home.

The reception was always closed. The tennis court has seen better days. I would have also liked more furniture in the bedroom, like a chair to put my clothes at bedtime.

Been there couple of times - quiet, remote we love it but we had a car essential, like the homey ness of the room and chance to cook in quiet resort. Lots of friendly cats and lovely gardener.

One of the cleaners had a very loud voice and chatted quite a lot outside our window. We were lucky had the balcony. The flat below is a bit dark. We Could hear the neighbours at night - no full Length mirror in out apt but most the the chalets do.

Nice & peaceful in quiet countryside location, but yet centrally located for our needs, ie for traveling to Tavira Island & night-time dining out in Alburfeira.

Only minor issue was main RCD fuse tripping in evening & we lost power in the apartment probably due to faulty appliance(s) twice. It was only in the morning when we plugged in the kettle, which had not even been switched on, caused the RCD to trip again, so power lost again at breakfast time. Once main fuse switch in downstairs Utility services room was turned on again & we had power back, that we had to boil the water for tea & coffee in a large saucepan on the electric hob

Clean, well maintained property. Seems a bit from the 80s but it has it’s charm. Facilities around it also from 80s but in a good condition. Swimming pool can fit 15+ people, clean(!) - has also many parking options.

Little houses are a bit noisy - regardless if inside or outside noise.

The staff was awesome. The apartment was clean, the environment was peaceful and silent.

The kitchen didn’t have any supply like soap to wash dishes, neither salt or olive oil, little things that help those who are traveling.

Really nice apartment, lots of space, swimming pool was a bonus. Comfortable and clean. Good air quality.

A bit far from anywhere if you're on foot, but there's a local cafe by between the hotel and train station and you can get wherever you need to quickly and cheaply on the train which runs often.

Monte dos Avos Village is a peaceful ‘old-fashioned’ accommodation complex in the Algarve countryside. The feeling of "locality" is charming, the small village community and the cafes within walking distance. It feels like an oasis, with naturally evolved garden, surrounded by many kinds of blossoms and pleasant scents. The pool was particularly clean and pleasant, cleaning was provided about every other day, towels and supplies were plentiful. With guests friendly, attentive and pet friendly. Monte dos Avos is not a beach destination, although there are fishing villages and beaches in the area.

One day the lights were out which was a little disturbing. The hotel does not have air conditioning and at the end of July the nights can get a bit unconfortable even though the fans were kept on all the time, the shutters closed during the day. Wi-Fi is slow and only works in the common pool / lounge area. Although you can also travel by train from Monte dos Avos on the Algarve coast (Livramento station is just under 2 km away), your own car is still good to have, e.g. to pick up breakfast items. There is no food on offer in Monte dos Avos, the nearest bar is about 800m away, the nearest cafe serving lunch, dinner and snacks is about 2km away.

It was lovely and peaceful here 😊 The apartment was very clean, local train station was only a ten minute walk and the owners were great
