We loved our stay. Property is beautiful and peacful. We readllly did relax here. Staff friendly. Food was amazing. Our Bottle of green juice broke in our car and the staff assisted us with the clean up when they really didnt have to.

I was hoping the food menu would change for the second day but I guess you dont have to eat at the hotel. I really wanted karoo lamb chops but they werent on the menu. They did have other lamb options. The lamb pie and the belly were amazing. They did go the extra mile to accommodate my wifes diet as she doen't eat meat. They also adjusted the desert menu for me which was nice of them. So not much too complain about to be honest.

Enjoyed the overall layout of the hotel, rooms and swimming pools. Enjoyed the quality of food during dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Sitting in the library after dinner, reading a book whilst enjoying a glass of red wine was special. Enjoyed walking a very short distance for a memorable spa treatment.

1) The WiFi access was complicated - how about a simple password system like most accommodations offers these days? 2) The WiFi speed was poor - not nearly on the same standard as the remainder of the hotel. 3) Booking a table for dinner was traumatic - the information provided to the AI bot on the website delivered no results. Then we visited the hotel a few days prior to our stay to make the appointment in person - the appointment was confirmed telephonically a few minutes later, only to find our dinner reservation absent when checking in.

This has been one of the most superb places I've stayed on my visit to South Africa. The buildings and room was exquisite. The whole experience was immensely enjoyable. The room is beautifully decorated and spacious. The bed is so comfortable and cozy. The bathroom has everything you need with a beautiful tub and shower. I found the magnifying mirror so handy. Two basins and everything is pristine. We had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant and that was another tasteful experience. We had Karoo lamb - expertly prepared- mouthwateringly good. We also had a SPA treatment where staff was well trained and hugely accommodating. Overall the staff is an assett - they are friendly, with nothing too big an ask. The parking was secure and the grounds and swimming pool well maintained and inviting- surrounded by bird song. A holiday to remember and we will definitely be back!

inexperienced staff we were there when GR was hot with very very cold weather and no fires on we had to ask for them to light the fires and make a fuss when they said no initially No heated blanket on the beds reserved a table for dinner but when we got there it had been take no candle lit on the dinner table asked 3 times to have this dine Waited a very long time at the bar for service and the bar was not full Very surprised that the art gallery is not open on the weekends - it should be open sat and sunday and closed monday and Tuesday

The environment, breakfast options. Well stocked bar fridge if required. Free bottled water daily.

Reception well staffed, but always busy with something, sometimes.waited for attention. Poor communication - I sent 2 mails directly to the email address provided and got zero response. This was at a critical time with poor weather, road closures and such in the Western Cape. I wanted to turn the TV off to as I can't sleep with any light (from the floating LG logo), got it off but then could not get the channels back the next day. Safe door does not stay shit and damaged the inside not the cupboard door (reported to reception on departure)

I liked the full experience, the professionalism of all staff from check in to room and walking past staff on the premises. Breakfast, dinner were all of the highest quality. Have found our permanent accommodation in Graff-Reinet going forward. Loved the availability of more than one swimming pool, it helps if one does not necessarily want the exposure to other people who have children playing an swimming with you.

The only fault in room was the lady did not tell us it was a key card activated system for aircon. But small oversight.

Camping is my measure, not having the opportunity to upgrade to luxury digs that often. I'm sold - never wanted to leave this hotel. The history, the comfort, the vibe, the attention to detail mense - next level ! - located perfectly to explore the museums, galleries, eateries, drinkeries and shopperies 😆 When we could tear ourselves away from the hotel that is.. Usually a town we pass through on route to next destination, I'm so chuffed that we chose to make more of it, we have fallen in love & will surely be back asap ! ❤️

A small inconvenience, prefer firmer pillows instead of feather pillows.

The Standard room was more than acceptable and fabulously decorated - everything you need is at your disposal. Even a hand written card to welcome you to the room with a little snack platter. Makes you feel right at home! The dinner at Camdeboo restaurant is a must - fantastic food and breakfast out of this world - high quality food with attention to detail. We will definately stay over again.

There was nothing we did not like. Everything was to our satisfaction. The only thing we might mention is the mixer in the shower - not so easy to operate and can be a tad frustrating.

It is a magnificent Hotel with so much character and history but unfortunately not well managed. Loved the setting, bedroom units are magnificent. The layout, gardens, walkways, safety and security, great food served in the restaurant, brilliant historic decor and furniture. Perfectly positioned in town.

The Front Desk and Food & Beverage section not up to scratch (barmen in Ladies Bar excluded - great hosts). Breakfast and dinner were very good but service overall poor. Staff in the dining room more interested in talking amongst themselves than servicing clientele. Arrival and departure at the front desk poor - staff on duty does not know how to welcome visitors with warmth, enthusiasm, friendliness typical expected in the industry. Magnificent rooms but almost no water pressure in shower made the experience poor.

Rooms are beautifully decorated, and grounds are very well maintained. Loved the old bar area where we had a pre-dinner drink - barman was very attentive and made a great recommendation, was friendly and engaging and we had a great chat to him. Dinner was delicious and the dining area is so well laid out and decorated - very luxurious. Breakfast the next morning was just as good! We say outside on the patio in the fresh air. Really loved the fact that there is a spa onsite and I was able to indulge in a massage on the Sunday morning. All staff members we encountered were super friendly and professional. This is the 2nd time I have stayed at The Drostdy and will definitely stay again when next travelling via Graff Reinette and will recommend to family and friends.
