The staff here were really friendly and happy to help with anything. We loved how quiet it was and my friend got the best sleep she’s had in weeks. There’s a super friendly dog, but doesn’t bother you if you’re not a dog lover, and good breakfast. Some of the menu choices were not available , not sure if that was due to the time of year. If you are thinking of doing safari around here we had an amazing time at buffalo springs and Ol pojeta , both with Dusty rest safaris who are local , know their stuff and really affordable! On Google etc.

It’s a little bit out of town but that’s what makes it quiet. Easy to get a taxi, we got some supplies from town and walked into town one of the days.

Friendly staff & secluded location. Lots of outdoor seating. Breakfast was nice - English breakfast with a side of crepes.

Property is set back about 300m from the main road. The signage is good from the main road so you’ll find it. I noticed on one map it was listed under its former name as Penguin Inn. There was some repair work going on right outside our window. Someone was cutting tiles and it did make quite a bit of noise. Travelers note there was no a/c or heating unit in the room. Our stay was comfortable but take this into account if you’re a person who likes to control room temperature. Finally the toilet water supply was turned off (to fill the cistern). This was easily rectified once we knew what to do but it is curious it was turned off in the first place!

Kelvin and his staff were extremely helpful and kind, organising two trips for us for good value for money. Breakfast was exceptional and so was dinner (the menu curated by chef Kelvin), with good diversity of dishes. They even provided mosquito nets for us to feel safe (even though there were none). Beds were nice (not too soft matresses). The place is recluded, quiet and green.

Staff so welcoming and friendly. We ended up staying here when our other booking got cancelled. We arrived late but were offered dinner. We were leaving early but they advised us breakfast was included so we asked if we could have some fruit to take with us for breakfast which they prepared for us. The Sri Lankan veg curry was very good for dinner. Nice garden for sitting out for breakfast. Just outside the town. Nice place to stay if visiting Ol' Pajeta.

Very picturesque old converted farmhouse, as per the name. Decent facilities. Breakfast is adequate, not more. Lovely garden. Fenced and gated, very secure.

Quite old, and falling apart in places. The bathroom tiles are dangerously slippery - we all of us nearly fell several times!! The access road isn't really - only for ATVs. Not all the staff has a high level of competency.

Very serene location, with the pleasant surprise of seeing Mt. Kenya as you leave. The staff went above my expectations in looking after me and young child and really took good care of us to provide what we needed- warm milk and even washed our fruit. Bonus car wash was a sweet surprise.

Feedback on pointers to improve stay for a young child given to the property manager who welcomed this feedback as well as shared improvements they have planned.

Super friendly staff. Inn is In the centre of town but conveniently situated off the busy road - making it a bit more tranquil. A special mention to The manager was that was super efficient and friendly. We had a very tasty lunch as well. Nice fresh towels and shampoo.

If you don't have a car, it's a little out of the way (the road in is too rutted to take a boda if you have luggage) but that's not a big problem. Take a boda to the turnoff from the highway, and then it's a 10- to.15-minute walk, well signposted.

The location down a bumpy track away from town is not for everyone but we loved the peace and quiet. The garden is lovely. The open fire in the lounge/restaurant and hot water bottles as part of turn down - lovely touches.

To improve it - a safe deposit box in room and mirror in room as well as bathroom would be great.

The floor at the car park needs to be looked into. There are loose wires and one can easily trip over.
