The location is excellent, close to almost all tourists attractions and bus stops.

One of the receptionist just assumed that everyone is good at directions and get to new places so when I asked her the second time of how to get to town centre by bus, she got quite annoyed and impatient, which made me feel silly and embarrassed. I said now I understood but went to find another staff to explain to me.

The views are spectacular. The room was reasonably spacious, although the bathroom was slightly cramped. Every member of staff was helpful and efficient. The bar and restaurant were excellent. Free parking was a bonus.

On our first morning the cleaning lady knocked on the door and proceeded to open it straight away while we were trying to get our clothes on to answer her. We made sure we put the 'do not disturb' sign on the following night. Although most things were to a high standard corners were cut in odd areas e.g quality toiletries but really cheap toilet paper; thin worn towels; tea/coffee/milk/water were not replenished and I never found the well-advertised bathrobes. The bar and restaurant meals were excellent but breakfast wasn't very well organised and we waited 20 minutes for a top-up of coffee, gave up waiting on tne orange juice to be replenished and the sausages tasted like sawdust rather than meat.

The location, the restaurant and terrace, the lovely pool and the excellent service from friendly staff.

We had booked a suite with a sea view and we were shown into a dark room with a side view of an apartment block - no sea. We expressed our disappointment and the next day we were moved into a lovely room at the front, which matched the description of the room we had booked. The original room (432) should not be offered and charged as a room with a sea view.

one lift was out of order. other one was extremely slow. pool was closed, weather was still warm. TV in bedroom room no signal.

We loved the views, pool, food and helpful staff.

We didn't like that the AC has been turning itself off after while and at night was too hot to sleep in the room.

Hotel was clean and bright We had a family suite which had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a small lounge and eating area

The hotel was having work done which we were not told about. So when we went back in the afternoon for a rest it was noisy with building work going on. Kettle provided in room was an EU kettle but plug sockets where UK sockets luckily we had an adapter. Asked for more cups for the room as only provided 2 cups for hot drinks was given 2 extra paper cups!

Incredible view from room balcony across Gibraltar Bay to Algeciras and across Gibraltar Strait to North Africa. Room comfortable and spacious if a little dated. Pool excellent and pool bar ideal. Staff mostly very friendly and efficient. Furnishings maybe a little tired but hotel generally very welcoming.

Checked in by young man in glasses who was a bit off-hand - pushed key card towards me and turned away before giving me the absolute basics: room number and location of lift. A pity because all other staff excelled. Hotel on a steep hill so, for anyone not too mobile, taxis essential to go anywhere. However they did seem to be prompt, if a little expensive. Bus stop up hill from town opposite, but no equivalent going back downhill.

The location is a little far from the main town but it is walkable or you can catch the bus near the hotel or get a taxi for around £10. The outside terrace of the hotel is lovely to eat at and the view in the evenings with the sunset is beautiful. The pool closes a bit early @20h and does not open until 10am which is a pity! The pool area is a bit untidy as chairs are not constantly reset & area could have leaves etc brushed up! Also the filter needs to run more in the pool to keep away any dead insects bees leaves etc from swimmers. Hotel is a great hotel & should be fantastic with some minor changes

Service in the pool needs to change! Access to pool needs to be extended

This is a great place to stay, right on the Rock. Short walk to the cable car to the top of the rock and much to explore there. After hours of exploration, it was wonderful to jump into the pool and order drinks and sandwiches. Staff was very helpful and kind. Hotel was nicely decorated and rooms was very comfortable

If I had to come up with something negative, the bartender in the bar was quite grouchy and took very long to take our order. Maybe he was just having a bad day

Great size rooms with comfortable beds, sizeable bathrooms, good towels, WiFi worked well, food in bar and restaurant is excellent. Good sea views and good balconies. Nicely located for botanical gardens, cable car, Main Street a short stroll away, albeit down a steep hill, bus to airport and Europa point close by. Nice pool area.

This may seem picky: the staff were friendly and helpful whenever I engaged with them. But reception is chaotic: there always seems to be an issue. And I did wonder about the upkeep. Small example: a manky box of tissues that looked liked it had been soaked was left on the window sill of the staircase between first and ground floor. It was still there when I left four days later. A small point but us pesky guests notice these things. For all that, I had an excellent stay and would readily return.
