There was plenty of free parking nearby and the location was very close to the main streets. The bed was very comfy. The staff were fantastic - great communication. and very friendly. Beautiful building with loads of history

No hand soap in the bathroom, and only 1/2 a toilet roll provided. Breakfast is quite expensive. There was not much choice although to be fair there may have been more but it was too crowded to see

Location was perfect for exploring center of town, restaurants, shopping, chateaux etc. Too far from train station for me, I was on foot & had to walk it every day. Reliable taxis are available though & the walk over the Loire is beautiful. Breakfast was perfect, even scrambled eggs! Very clean. Staff very helpful & friendly when I had to cancel my last night & when I got blisters from walking. Pharmacy was near & also helpful.

Too far from train. It’s ok though if you don’t have to walk it every day. Soap dispenser in shower came unglued but was still useable so I didn’t nag to get it fixed.

A very warm welcome from the gentleman on the reception desk. The hotel is a very old building: built in 1492 I was told, and was originally a blacksmith's workshop. As such the rooms are accessible by staircase only and the stairs are quite steep. It's a lovely quaint hotel and has kept many of it's original features. Our room was quite compact but it had a huge comfortable bed, was exceptionally clean and we had a lovely view onto a tree-lined park area. We were pleased to make use of the secure parking facility for our motorbike. Excellent. The hotel is just a short 5-10 minute stroll from the bustling town, restaurants and the Chateau. Thoroughly recommend.

Everything was good here, we enjoyed our one night stay. I would just note though that the stairs may be a slight issue for those with mobility issues.

Location was very central and there was free parking in the street outside.

Although we just booked a double our room was very small and had few power sockets. Felt more like we were caravanning then staying in a hotel the room was very claustrophobic. We were also disappointed that there was no guest lounge area and the patio area was only big enough to seat four. Would recommend if you’re on a budget and are happy to spend all your time out of the hotel. I think the ‘quirky’ pictures of rooms used a bit of ‘artistic licence’ we found our room very bland.

The hotel is very well located in a very pretty town that is well worth visiting. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The price of an overnight stay was very reasonable (in October). The hotel is an old characterful building but the room we stayed in had a great, recently modernised bathroom. There is secure parking in a nearby garage (for 8 euros) which was very useful for us as it meant we did not have to unload the baggage from a very full car. Strongly recommended. No complaints.

Great location a short walk from the main section of Amboise. Nice and quiet location. The rooms look newly renovated and it was a charming classic French building, and it had temperature control too in the room. The staff are really nice. The breakfast was fantastic too as an add on. We loved our stay in Amboise and would come back here.

There was a bit of shower leaking into the bathroom when used, but that’s just because of the way the shower is designed.

Attractive exterior in a well located part of town , private parking as the CP in front of the hotel was full . The staff were very nice and thoughtful offering a GF room , the bed was comfortable .

Though there was instant coffee available in the room we don’t like it , we were not allowed to have just a normal fresh coffee in the breakfast room so we had to find somewhere after we left . The room though on the ground floor was really small with little room for our bag .

It is fully of character and very well located for walking to the river, town centre and Leonado da Vinci’s house. I was kindly given a free update from the single room I’d booked but even the double room was small. They let me park my motorcycle in their secure parking area for free.

The shower protrudes into the bathroom, which is I understand due to the small space but it was trimmed with sharp metal which I cut my toe on.

Great hotel in a very good location of Amboise. The castle is in walking distance. Bonus was that there is a private parking close by for a fare rate, so very safe. Also a lot of free parking, but they were all occupied. The room was really nice. Very stylish. Comfortable beds and modern bathroom and an nice view of the castle.

Wouldn't recommend to use the air condition, as it seemed that it was not cleaned for years and the smell was quite strange which came out of it. We slept with open window then, because it was very hot. We woke up several times because of rare but loud cars and motocycles, which is quite usual in rural areas of france.

The 4 members of our party thought the breakfast was exceptionally good value. 1 member was impressed that the scrambled eggs were dairy-free to cater for people who consume no dairy. The location was excellent. Staff were helpful and pleasant. The older features of the hotel added to its charm. The bedrooms were comfortable. The air conditioning was very welcome. I'd be happy to stay there again.

One couple was disappointed that their shower had no door nor shower curtain once inside their bathroom, which sent water outside the cubicle. The window of one room had to be kept shut during the first part of the night due to sounds of traffic, although most of the night it was quiet.
