The pool was fabulous and the staff that worked at the pool were excellent with their service. The breakfast was very very good. The hotel beach across the street was very nice and convenient. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

The one thing that disappointed us was the cigar smoking in the hotel bar and lounge. We feel it is a very bad decision to allow cigar smoking in the one bar and lounge for the hotel guests. Cigar smoking is a niche activity, while it makes one or two people happy to smoke their cigar for hours on end in one location, the NEGATIVE impact on the rest of the guests is enormous-- it STINKS! We could not bear to be in the lounge or enjoy the live music because there was a cigar smoker on the balcony just outside the lounge door. This should really be changed-- management? Hello?

Breakfast had a wide variety of foods to choose from and was served on a pleasant terrace. Room was very comfortable and the chambermaid service was efficient and thorough. Nice pool, set up with lots of loungers and shade from the sun. Airport transfer for a late-night flight was comfortable and friendly.

Marble tiles near the pool were slippy and weren't cleared of water often enough. 'Club Bar' was stiff, formal and wasn't a place to socialise in. Wine that was available by the glass from room service wasn't offered on the bar menu, so we had to ask for it as a special service. Seems to be set up only to serve the small number of people that the balconies can accommodate.

Kempinski Portoroz is a true 5 star hotel! From the employees at the reception, the staff at the pool and the restaurants, all the way to the housekeeping and laundry team! We would like to give special mention to few members of staff - Adrian working at the reception who assisted us in every possible and extremely efficient way (assisting us with retrieving a lost jumper from another hotel, made sure we got the best taxi price deal etc). Also Julia, serving coffee/tea at breakfast has shown incredible professionalism. We hope to be back soon!

Very nice rooms, beautiful view, cleanliness, parking and the personnel. Breakfast and restaurant Sofie was also great.

It was a noice outside during the night in the seaview room as there is some club/disco across the street. We were accomodated at the beggining of the season and it was very annoying, could be even worse later in summer. I would expect that the hotel of this level will somehow handle this and will at least limit the hours or something (it was loud until 3 am, we heard the music despite closed windows and wooden Doors on windows and running A/C.

Service staff was exceptional. I specifically recall the time that Anja took to advise us on our first breakfast. Moritz was perfect on both a dinner, and a breakfast service during which we met him. Mario manned the egg station on our last breakfast and was very attentive to individual requests. The concierge crew was among the best I've ever seen, with each and every one of them going extra miles, I wish I remembered their names, the same goes for housekeeping who set up an extra bed at 21h30 on the day of our arrival.

Nothing at all, related to the staff, facilities or food. One things perhaps: I believe that the 10% service charge is a bit out of place because it feels intransparent. The resulting total prices are still fair and I wish they just added 10% to the list price in the menu.

Everything was amazing. It was the second time for us and the stuff and facilities were just as wonderful as the first time. The pool is perfect for the heat wave. The restaurants and piano bar were perfect and made our stay perfect.

Can't think of anything

It's the third time I've been to this hotel and I've had nothing but wonderful experience there. The rooms are comfortable, the restaurants are phenomenal, the pool is great for relaxing, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel has a perfect location, as well. I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone. Moreover, I have to recommend Sophia restaurant, which, in addition to excellent food, also has extremely friendly staff and a wonderful atmosphere. We will gladly stay at this hotel again next year.

In general it was fine, service was very good, reception works perfectly. But comparing to my previous times it was not excellent.

Housekeeping is rather poor (e.g. they are keeping empty water bottles on table for some reasons, also once there was no garbage bag in garbage basket in a bathroom etc). Some facilities in room (e.g.table cover in my room was broken) and in swimming pool (e.g.whirlpool mosaic and injectors) require repairing of refreshment. Coffee during breakfast time could be better.

We loved everything: the room, the staff, the place, the pool and the plage, the food - everything. We asked the concierge to arrange a short boat tour, it was done really on professional level. Especialy we would like to say the big Thank You to the captain Tej! He is a very polite, helpful, friendly, with a great sense of humor guy! 👍Also huge Thank You to Maria at the reception: she is an outstanding young lady, the etalon of politeness and professionalism! 🙂Thank you Palace Hotel Kempinski!!!🙏

Everything was just perfect. This is the most beautiful hotel in Portoroz, with its own free sandy beach. Inside the hotel there is an excellent outdoor swimming pool with sea water. Amazing breakfasts. Large comfortable rooms with a large terrace (superior room). And most importantly - very friendly staff, ready to help with any problems. This is one of the best hotel stay experiences ever.

Everything was just perfect!
