Posh boutique with lovely surrounding views. Excellent central location in a quiet residential street. Wonderful staff and our penthouse room was spacious with a balcony overlooking the pool. Squeaky clean newly renovated bathrooms and pretty landscaping.
The hotel only serves a continental breakfast with a choice of eggs. More selection of hot meals would be welcome. Stunning setting but no ambience. Some light background music would certainly lift the mood of this wonderful hotel.

I was slightly apprehensive to book with no Trip Advisor reviews, but this really is a stunning recently renovated property. Book without hesitation. Very clean & modern facilities. In a quiet and safe location, near Kloof street so great for exploring Cape Town. Would highly recommend. Appreciated the clothes steamer available in the room.
Laundry facilities were advertised but not available. 9 double bedrooms on the property but only 8 sunbeds available.

A tranquil haven yet close to all the hustle and bustle of the waterfront which is just 15 mins away by taxi. The property is beautifully curated to a high standard. Luxurious toiletries, delicious snacks and a soft robe and slippers bring a spa quality to the stay. The pool was tempting but I preferred to laze on the lounger and gaze up at the amazing view which I’m pretty sure was Table Mountain. It’s been a long time since I stayed anywhere that gave a turndown service and it was a delight to come back to a room and bed made ready for a cozy night’s sleep. I shouldn’t have been surprised really as service and care seem to be the qualities behind all the decisions. I am already planning my return visit.
I’m struggling to recall anything I didn’t like - I could mention that there were no decaf coffee options in the room or at breakfast, but there were so many other choices, this wasn’t an issue and, if I’d asked, I’m sure this would have been resolved.

The aesthetic of the property was great and the ground very beautiful. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The building felt secure with security gate and gated private parking. The breakfast was lovely with a choice of continental and cooked options.
Overall the property was great but a couple of things we felt were missing…a waste bin in the bedroom, blind in the bathroom (as people could see from the pool area), a full length mirror in the bedroom and some sheer curtains for changing etc. Only menial things but it would take the property from great to excellent.

Location spacious rooms Lovely breakfast
No rubbish bin in the bedroom 3 appliances and only possible to fit one plug in at a time Was nespresso , fridge and kettle bit only one at a time could be on Hair dryer but no mirror to use while drying hair. And the long mirror the hairdryer does not reach Towels are very small and worn out The wardrobe cupboard door kept opening when you walked past Tv position is not good as when you lie in bed. You have the four poster going through the screen

I travelled to Cape Town with my mum to celebrate my birthday and staying at One Kensington Boutique Hotel made our trip even more memorable. My mum fell in love with the hotel, from the incredibly spacious and well furnished rooms to the gorgeous scenery and beauty surrounding us due to the home being nestled perfectly in an ideal location. It truly was a special stay, everyone was extremely attentive and made sure that we were always comfortable and well looked after. I would definitely recommend One Kensington Boutique Hotel to any family and friends.

Very helpful staff. Always service with a smile. Nothing too much trouble. Located in a leafy suburb, it really was lovely. My phone stopped working for a day, and I couldn’t book a taxi whilst out. A local shopkeeper called the hotel owner who instead of booking a taxi for us, jumped in her car and came and fetched us!!
Bathroom smelt slightly of drains on the odd occasion. Not a major concern though.

The breakfast was wonderful and made to order. It was so nice setting out on the balcony each morning enjoying the view of the beautiful gardens. We had the apartment. I was wonderful. It came with everything needed in the bathrooms, kitchen and even had laundry soap available for the washer and drying.
The only thing it could have used was paper towels in the kitchen and some dishtowels. Although it did have dish rags.
