Such a beautiful place and peaceful with lots of different places to be including 3 pods in the garden where you could ask to have meals. There was a jacuzzi in my little garden too and a small patio the other side. The different teams of staff were fantastic and nothing was a problem.

I did think the bedroom had one or two things that looked a bit jaded but it couldn’t have mattered less the grounds and main hotel were beautiful. The menu on arrival was excellent and beautifully presented, well cooked and delicious. Half way through my stay the menu changed from great to much less great. Each dish was just a three/four word heading with no description (the staff were going to be explaining each dish- as if you’d remember 😂) it made meals much less special.

Wow this hotel and its staff are amazing. The grounds are suburb. The food is exceptional and cooked fresh to order. You are always make to feel welcome by every member of staff. We introduced ourself on arrival and the staff remembered our names the whole time of our stay. A big thank you to Jacob, Peter and Brian for making our stay even more memorable. The maintenance and garden team do a fantastic job of keeping the garden looking beautiful. I would highly recommend this hotel and can’t wait to return.

After staying at Cape Town and garden route this was our last stop before flying home. Not overly impressed by hout bay the best part of our visit to hout bay was the hotel and the drive down chapmans peak ( which is an absolute must if your in the area) and our reason to staying there. There are some nice fine dining restaurants near by including the amazing la colombe. Also a must if in the area. But the actual harbour is nothing compared to v&a in cape town but this might be personal preference.

Vida Nova gives tranquility its meaning. It's so peaceful and quiet. I enjoyed every second. I had a room with a hot tub, and it was absolute bliss. The food is halaal friendly. I will definitely be back. Staff was very accommodating and made our stay more than comfortable.

I didn't like the TV in my room, and the remote batteries need to be replaced. Because there was a hot tub in the room, I didn't like that there was no place to hang your wet swimming costume to dry. Perhaps install a retractable line outside. I also didn't like that the mirror was very far from the hairdryer on two opposite sides of the room.

I absolutely loved the location, the pool area, the surrounding restaurants, everything was perfect. The staff was AMAZING, very very very helpful, Cassie you are a superstar!!! I didn't catch the gentleman's name on checkout, but he was just as helpful. Really amazing staff, the WhatsApp service, staff was very efficient. Let's not forget Cassie calling me by name, great service! You have a brilliant team. Excellent service, I can't stress this enough.

I was very disappointed in the room. I didn't take pictures, but I know you can verify this information yourself. The base of the bed was extremely dirty and the dirty marks on the carpet left a very bad taste. I'm sorry but this is my honesty. I think surely you guys can clean the base and replace the carpets. Everything else was clean and inviting.

The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Who we think was the owner/manager was also really friendly always saying hello too. The pool area was lovely and the time that we stayed it was never too busy which was nice. The whole hotel felt quite private and peaceful which meant a lot. The grounds of the hotel are kept beautifully. Our room was very comfortable and we loved having a hot tub. It felt very safe and I think the staff and surroundings created a friendly and peaceful atmosphere.

There was nothing we didn’t particularly like. There were a couple of times that staff got orders wrong or knocked on our door instead of next doors for room service but this isn’t much of an issue as when we paid the bill they took off the room service they had accidentally charged our room. We had chosen to upgrade our room a couple of months before coming via booking.com but we did not receive the upgraded room. We didn’t notice this until a few days jn and so by that point we were settled and as we were happy with our room we though there was no point in changing. We did not get charged for this so unsure as to whether there is a lack of communication from booking.com to the hotel maybe? Either way it didn’t really matter and we were still happy with our room.

Good location and easy to drive to various places around . Nice and quiet area , not to much road noise . Staff were friendly and efficient . We had Friends join us for a meal and they all enjoyed the experience . Nice food for breakfast and evening meals

They seem to have a continual problem with WiFi and this affected the printer also as they were unable to give me a Receipt when I asked them , They were going to e.mail me the receipt but I am still waiting

I went with my girlfriend for one night, The customer service was excellent by Siya when we arrived my girlfriend was very happy with the room an location many things not to far around the hotel. However we both wished we booked for more then one night. Breakfast the next morning was truly the highlight of our stay it was spectacular JB was our water really amazing guy. He promised we will enjoy it an we really did. Definitely will recommdend this place its honestly a GEM

Jacuzzi was nice however i wish the water couldve been warmer especially now in winter

We really loved our stay at Vida Nova! From the very warm welcome by Cassie at the front desk, to the delicious breakfasts, everyone we interacted with was friendly and very helpful. The bed is so comfortable!! I particularly enjoyed working in the garden pods.

Only suggestion I would make is to put a sliding door on the balconies facing the pool. We had to keep rearranging the outdoor chairs every time we wanted to open or close the balcony door.

Very clean, beds are nice and big and the staff is amazing! The staff really tries their best to assist. The breakfast was excellent! The food is great if one also wants to have dinner or lunch

Two main things: 1.The jacuzzi in our room was smaller than what I thought but not all rooms are the same size as our friends jacuzzi was nice and big but everything else was too nice so it was something I could let it slide. But with that said the water was a perfect temperature in the jacuzzi. 2.Lastly is the gate situation, there is no security guard who can quickly open and close the gate for guests so when going in or coming back in to the property it’s the reception people who have to open and close it, there are some minor delays as they can’t always see the cars and this to me was a security problem as it’s inconvenient and no one wants to get robbed while waiting for the gate to be opened but apart from that nothing else.

Perfectly located in tranquil Hout Bay next to Tarragona estate, just around the corner of constantia. Very safe, walkable, next to table mountain national park (ask for the pin code), and close to the best restaurants of South Africa (La Colombe or the best pizza at Massimos). Our attic room was cozy, well furnitured and we had our own hot tub running at perfect temperature. Complete property is off the grid with solar power.

Breakfast sizes could be a bit bigger.
