Well appointed room with good facilities and an excellent restaurant.

Whilst the staff were very friendly and generally helpful, I thought the service at breakfast was very slow and substandard. An example of this was on each morning I had to ask twice for coffee and it took between 10-15 minutes to arrive - not good in the morning! A lack of training or of supervision….

We though the breakfast excellent. We thought supper at the cafe excellent. We thought supper at the Azure was quite pricey, especially the wine, and we would give the quality of the food 9/10. For example my wife had salmon, which was a bit dry [overcooked?] But care and service was excellent.

See above. My wife struggles to get in and out of a high bath and she struggled at room 416. We should have asked if you had a walk in shower room. Also the coffee machine leaked and I got water into the back of my phone. It was completely dead when we left. Fortunately, I dried it out and it now seeps to be working again.

Very elegant and beautiful hotel with all the attentions you’d expect for the money you pay. The staff is amazing and so friendly. Spa treatment a big plus

Noise!! The hotel could definitely use some upgrades and renovations like double glazing in every sea view bedroom. While the view on the ocean is priceless the coast road traffic is endless too. And even when you close the doors/ windows you still hear the traffic.. this shouldn’t be the case for such a hotel!

The room was nice and clean. LuLu was fantastic, making such an effort to tell us about the area when he would drive us to dinner ect. Breakfast was lovely.

There was a lot of renovations going on in the hotel at the time which we did not get warned about in advance. For example laying new carpets outside our room and pool closures we were not expecting this for the price of the room.

The hotel was beautiful right by the sea front with perfect views of the water and sunset. It was clean and well maintained with the kindest and most accommodating staff. Their assistance made the stay most pleasant! Would recommend to any and all visiting Cape Town. Fantastic stay for a fantastic trip.

The gym was quite small with minimal equipment but was still good given the small space.

The birthday surprises provided by the staff was something that showed the level of excellence of the team and it was really appreciated after the tough year. The team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to ensure our comfort at the hotel in all the areas that we used. The views are spectacular and it is always wonderful to bask in the beauty, especially if you are afforded a seat with a view for Breakfast and dinner. Dinner was beautiful, tasty and the Chefs Tuna tartare was delicious. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay and the turn down was a pleasant surprise after our return from Dinner. Thank you to each and every member in the hotel that just makes a stay seamless, easy and effortless. I was able to re-charge and just enjoy my birthday with you all. Thank you for this.

Everthing was amazing, nothing that we did not like.

we dined at the Azure Restaurant. Our mail course was the Steak Azure which was overdone and dry. The rest of the dining experience was fantastic. We will come again for another special getaway but will opt for a more expensive sea or mountain facing room. Room 402 wasn't ideally located - there was a walkway for staff outside our veranda and it was a little noisy.

The first thing to say about the hotel is that the location is stunning. The food was great - breakfast, dinner in either of the restaurants and room service. Every member of staff we met was friendly and helpful, in particular the concierge who arranged our stay - days out, restaurants, taxis etc.

If you want to be picky, the decks around the pools are small and can feel a little cramped.

An amazing place- with amazing staff and atmosphere. We loved everything about the hotel/ the position, the refurbishments, the food and the people that made all our wishes come through with a smile- every step, from front desk, to restaurants to the spa and even the cleaning staff. Would come willingly any time

It is a great hotel. It is one of the best in South Africa and does live up to it. The staff were great. I can recommend the spa, for sure and the seafood platter. Really decadent but really worth it.

Dealing with an issue with my credit card. It was a back and forth and back and forth. I did initially let this taint my view and have experienced a level of frustration and stress that comes with dealing with international money issues but I figure it will get sorted. Not fair to tank a whole hotel review for this.
