Conveniently located right off the main road. There is an exclusive entrance to the KFC and farmstall at the backend of the motel premises, which allows you to easily and directly get food without having to navigate to it from the front entrance. Rooms have everything you need for overnighting while travelling and are cosy. Wifi was fine, and we streamed HQ YouTube with no issues.

We didn't have hot water for showering. This was a fault, and of course not something deliberate, and we reported it when leaving. It would have been nice to perhaps get a small discount on the stay because of this, but I don't think you could expect that from many businesses nowadays. Although the motel premises is clean and well maintained, the nearby areas are questionable - beggars in the streets, people drinking and causing commotion at the truck stops/fuel stations at night, etc. That said, the motel itself is walled-off, well protected, and has guards. Once inside the premises you aren't exposed to any of this and don't even know its there. So this isn't a concern at all.

For a stop-over stay, the location is great so close to the National Road. The check-in was quick and efficient. The staff, helpful and friendly. The room was extremely clean, spacey and well laid out. Modern bathroom with a great shower. The pool was refreshing and the pool area allowed for relaxing. Dinner was great. Breakfast very tasty. Special mention to Waitron Stacey who was extremely helpful. The accommodation, restaurant, pool and grounds are all beautiful and well kept, and suggest that a longer stay is on the cards to allow for exploring the area.

Check-in was very efficient and easy. Each romm's allocated parking is right outside the door of the room which made unpacking and repacking in the morning nice and quick. The room had everything we needed for our stop-over, including a little fridge and freezer. The aircon was a welcomed feature as it was very hot when we were there. We felt safe and had a peaceful night's sleep. The beds were comfy. There were no noise disturbances despite all the rooms around us being occupied. It was very helpful that check-out could be done early so that we could get on the road first thing. We enjoyed the atmosphere at the restaurant and the food was great.

The bathroom was a little tight, mainly because the door opens into the small space so it makes it a little awkward to get inside and around the door. A door on a rail on the outside or inside may be an option as a space saver.

The staff were extremely friendly and courteous, and any question was answered to our satisfaction. Our room was awesome, the bed comfortable and shower/bathroom amazing. We ate dinner at the restaurant, and the food was stunning, service great and value for money more than we have seen in a long time. Would highly recommend.

The only aspect that we would enjoy having, and wasn't there, was a room safe. Otherwise more than exceeded our expectations, and would not hesitate to recommend the venue to family, friends and acquaintances.

The rooms were clean and well organized. We had supper at the restaurant and the food and drinks were excellent. Prices are also within reason.

1. The TV did not work and took 45 minutes to exchange. 2. The entrance into Merino Inn needs to be clearly marked as visitors to the "padstal" park in the entrance road and then Merino Inn customers have to climb the side walk to get past and into Merino Inn 3. The drinks at the restaurant takes long to make especially the milk shakes.

The hotel has an excellent location; it’s close to the N1 Highway & there is a filling station & drive-thru nearby. It was very convenient to check in late at night as opposed to being restricted to specific check-in times. There were friendly staff at reception to assist with check-in. The room I had was overlooking a good area. This is a good place for an overnight stay.

The cleanliness could be improved, specifically dusting surfaces including the aircon.

Location was good. We didn't have breakfast, but had dinner, which was good value. I didn't request parking at no additional cost. Being a motel, it is more or less expected that you would be able to park on the premises, and that this would be automatically part of the package. You would have no customers if they couldn't park on the premises! I did however ask that a reservation be made for me for dinner at the restaurant, and this was done. The shower was good!

Room was vèy spacious and clean. Great location for quick overnight stopover. Lovely big lawn area for kids to run about and clean pool. On-site restaurant and farmstall close by. Also Egen one-stop opposite for quick refuel on way out.

Unfortunately there were lots of mozzies on the lawn area, cut our kiddies "running about" short. No milk in the room for coffee. Room phone did not work.

The exceptional friendly and helpful staff, especially on check-in and in the dining room. The cleanliness of the room and facilities. The shower in the ensuite bathroom, instant hot water and good pressure. Able to park the car at the entrance door to the room , no need to unpack the car on an overnight stay. Also good security. The lovely neighborhoods....see picture.

The staff were extremely friendly and courteous. We did not eat breakfast, but had a wonderful dinner in the hotel restaurant. Extremely good value for money. The room was spacious and comfortable and had all the additional amenities we required, namely fridge and kettle.

We enjoyed everything about our stay.
