It was lovely and clean and everyone was very friendly.

The fact that they did not notify us that the indoor swimming pool and spa activities could not be used as that section burned down in April and renovations are not completed yet. We did not get the experience we expected. Had we known in advance, we could have made other arrangement, seeing that we booked in April.

The staff at the Stillness Manor were superb. Hats off and thank you to all of them. Breakfast was great (Eggs Benedict with Salmon). The servers were super friendly and along with the chef were knowledgeable and respectful of our dietary needs. Even though we were looking forward to spa treatments which was not possible, our stay was very memorable and enjoyable.

Neither Booking.com nor the Manor's own website advised that the Spa facility was not open (closed for repairs following a fire). Nonetheless - staff friendliness and the overall facilities made our stay enjoyable.

we arrived late a last minute booking and we were welcomed into the property very well. as it was dark the lovely receptionist did her very best to accommodate us in the main house not having to find a room off the property! we ended up staying 2 nights after a flight delay All the staff could not be more friendly and went out of their way to be super helpful!

Maybe slightly tired in parts but it’s an old property so to be expected still looks very grand

The staff were really friendly and inviting. The accomodation room and facilities were nice. Great breakfast to start off the day. We enjoyed playing tennis with the equipment they provided. We also liked that there was pool table and scrabble.

It was a bit of a dampner not to have the spa facilities and swimming pool available. There's also not much outdoor lighting to the rooms at night so have a torch in handy.

I loved the location, stillness manor is the perfect name as it immediately makes you feel relaxed and calm. Beautiful views all around and helpful staff. Nice food, large room. Comfortable beds and linen.

Stillness manor needs alittle TLC, i think it is in the process of that. I hope this happens . There were a number of things that need to be repaired etc. Loose tiles round the top pool, quite dangerous. Also screws and loose stones on the floor near there. Sun beds in disrepair (two wooden ones). Sun bed towels with holes in. Sloping tiles in the bathroom which were worrying when the water from the shower ran away. Also I found it rather strange to have the men who work in the grounds hanging out in the lower rooms near the pool. Constantly walking past. I know this sounds rather stuck up but if you are laying around a pool you dont want workmen wandering by constantly.

The view, the pools especially the heated indoor pool. Breakfast were good, served fresh each day. Good size room with comfortable bed. Evening meal was very nice but could do with more choices when staying more than 3 nights.

It is an old building that is reflected in some of the decor and especially the bathroom design.

- breakfast was a little light for us and only started at 7.30 - rooms are tired - we hadnt really registered that this is a full 30 minute drive from central cape town. not the hotels fault! but fyi for anyone looking

Not only is the setting beautiful, the ease of access to all the facilities and the warmth and consideration that all the staff had really made me feel special. I came for a breakaway and did not expect to be leaving feeling like I had been transported to a world where I was the Lady of the Manor. The staff were amazing every second of my stay, always being accommodating when I had questions or requests. Their compassion was genuine, and it really made the experience that much more special to know that they all wanted to ensure I had the best time. The access to the spa facilities is what initially drew me towards making the booking, and it did not disappoint! I loved the massages and was even able to squeeze in a session to fix my unruly eyebrows. The ladies in the spa were so friendly, and after visiting I felt like I was truly rested. I loved the access to the sauna the most! I'd love to be able to visit in the summertime to fully enjoy the surrounding nature and mountains, but it was also magical to witness the winter sunrise and listen to the hummingbirds in the early morning. The breakfast choices are good: I opted for the healthy breakfast each morning as I enjoyed the freshness of the fruit. Each night though I tried a different dinner - with room service! The portions are plentiful and the taste was really top quality (compliments to the chef!). The staff will make sure that you don't go hungry! The bar has a lovely fireplace with a small library, and the games room has a cozy vibe while hosting a pool table, chess board, and a few board games as well. All in all even though I was there by myself I never felt lonely or out of place. I will definitely be visiting again, and if anyone is looking for a sign as to whether or not they should stay at Stillness Manor I am happy to write a whole seven novel series as to why they definitely should!

Breakfast was superb. We told them we were Muslim and they catered for us. Location was wonderful. It truly matches the hotel name, "Stillness", as there was stillness everywhere. Really relaxing and peaceful. Service and staff was excellent and they went out of their way to accommodate us!

I booked the Manor Suite with the bath as per the picture on your website, only to be shown to my room without a bath. I was very disappointed as this is false advertising as my confirmation clearly stated 'with bath'. I eventually ended up staying the first night in a room with the bath as this room was available but had to move to another room the next day which didn't have a bath as the hotel was fully booked. You should be more specific to rooms and the pictures they represent. I think you should have more room selection options as you have a general description for the Manor Suites. As I don't have a bath at home, I tend to book all my getaways to include for a bath.

the views are just amazing! especially at night with all the lights twinkling below. 3 pools and 1 heated pool was really exceptional. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. I will define go back.

The room I stayed in was a bit dated. it was however, spacious, comfortable and included everything you need. Also the value for money is really good. there are a variety of rooms so just call and ask the staff to recommend which are the best rooms.
