Excellent staff. Sarisha and Nick were always on point and received myself and wife with excellent care and warmth.

Breakfast could be served earlier during the week at 6am. Always have business on the move. I was not sure if the beaches were safe to bathe in. Some information on this would be useful

Great and enjoyable facilities inside our Superior Garden Villa Room, Comfortable bed, Spacious showers in our room, Privacy and quietness/peacefulness in our room, Beautiful and comfortable robes and slippers, Two umbrellas for those rainy days, Both aircon and ceiling fans available in the bedroom and lounge, Private gate to access the room, Private splash pool within the private gate, View of the ocean from multiple sections of the hotel which compensated for our room not having an ocean view, Breathtaking ocean views from the Ocean Terrace restaurant and Lighthouse bar, Cleanliness of everything that we came into contact with, Friendliness and usefulness of concierge service, Friendliness and usefulness of all staff that we interacted with, Flexibility and friendliness of housekeeping if you decide to put the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door throughout the day.

Exceptional service as always, meet with smiles and wine in our room and a personal welcome back from the manager. We were provided with a special dining experience on our balcony with flowers for valentines day which was also our anniversary. The hotel somehow knew this and provided us with a plate of desserts and complementary sparkling wine. The food as always was exceptional, the service in the roof top bar was brilliant both nights and we got to sit in amazing places with a view of the lighthouse in-front of us. Breakfast was exceptional and the staff always looking to please. We spent an afternoon around the front pool and the staff were also exceptional, we were swimming when our drinks were ready and they delivered them into our hands while swimming. Towel provided as we got out of the pool and water given at all times of the day. Love the turn down service, the room was clean and beautiful and i love the size of the bath which in the evening the staff put candles around. I love my stays at the oyster box and cannot thank all the staff enough for taking care of us so much and Nicole for organising all our extras with her great staff. Cannot wait for next years visit already, thank-you Oyster box for making more magic memories for myself and Wayne ♥️

The Staff at the Oysterbox stands out like a shining diamond in the world of hospitality. I have spent 25 years in the industry, having managed 5 star boutique hotels and fine dining restaurants across South Africa, and both my partner and I were delighted with the level of attentiveness from the staff and the quality of the facilities. They just could not do enough for us to ensure a pleasant stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, it is clean and everything we expected from a hotel at 5 star level. We loved every minute in the care of The Oysterbox - the pool was sparkling clean, the food offering incredible and as they say "the devil is in the detail" - this is how a hotel should be run.

Pleasant Stay My experience at the Oyster Box Hotel in Durban was truly delightful. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with exceptional service, accompanied by refreshing towels and a welcoming drink. Stepping into our room, we were pleasantly surprised to find a charming little bed for my nephew, which he absolutely adored. The views from our room were simply breathtaking, adding an extra touch of magic to our stay. Throughout our time at the hotel, the staff went above and beyond to assist us, displaying utmost professionalism and a genuine willingness to fulfill our every need. Their warm and accommodating nature made us feel truly valued as guests, and their ever-present smiles were a constant reminder of their dedication to ensuring a memorable experience. I must extend a special thank you to Sandile, whose attentiveness during breakfast made it an unforgettable affair. He took it upon himself to keep our glasses brimming with delightful mimosas, adding an extra touch of indulgence to our morning routine. His dedication to making our breakfast extra special did not go unnoticed, and we are incredibly grateful for his exceptional service. Our time at the Oyster Box Hotel was nothing short of amazing, leaving us with unforgettable memories. Second visit in less than three months. Stopped this time for 6 days and it was wonderful, the staff always go above and beyond to help.

Having stopped many nights on different occasional, this time evening house keeping was somewhat inconsistent with how the room was left. Not a showstopper but when everything else is perfect, this just knocks the experience slightly.

Fabulous!!!!, just loved being there. True relaxation. Staff were super friendly and the hotel honestly couldnt be better - there were a number of restaurants to eat at. Bars were great with live music over the weekend. Excellent spa, but definitely priced for international visitors. Very exclusive experience. We got a room upgrade which was an added treat.

The food was pricey, and there weren't many super casual options for lunch. We ate in half the time and then chose other restaurants in the area for other meals. There were lots of alternate options offsite. Not much we didn't like....it was lovely!

The sea facing room was beautiful although the balcony was a little small. The hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. The different bars and dining areas were all lovely. The poolside area with its comfy loungers, beautiful pool and sea view was amazing. The massage at the spa was relaxing and divine. All in all, a great experience.

There should be a rule about people sitting at the Ocean Terrace restaurant having meetings with their phones on loudspeaker. Extremely inconsiderate and disrespectful when others around them are trying to enjoy a morning breakfast or another meal.

Me and my husband recently stayed at The Oyster Box Hotel for several days and was pleasantly surprised by what an enjoyable experience it was. This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The service at the hotel is amazing. Every staff member new our names from the minute we arrived and they went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The rooms were very comfortable. We ate a delicious buffet breakfast there every morning. Great location. We will definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.

I would like to my gratitude to Ruan and the team they made sure that im feeling better when i had an asthma attack, im very greatfull forvl what they did during that difficult time. im praying that god blessed the Oyster staff abundantly.
