This was our second time staying in the cottage in the grounds of Grace House Guest House. The cottage is a little away from the main house which ensures privacy. It is comfortable and has its own terrace with braai (barbeque). The delicious breakfast included fruits, cereals, yoghurts and cooked options. The owners and staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. There is a lovely garden with lots of birdlife and a pool.

The breakfast was more than enough with a variety of health options and in good portions. The location is very quite, safe, clean and very serene. The rooms are quite smaller but comfortable enough for good sleep

I was not aware there were alarm systems in the garden and walking late at night could trigger them. My friends I understood were up at dawn walking through the garden. A heads up next time would be great but apart that, we did love the peace and serenity your home did offer. A little cleaning of the pool would be nice.

Everything. From the moment we booked, contact was made with us by the host, and their flexibility was amazing. We were held up on the motorway and arrived later than we had planned. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was excellent and warm, and we had an amazing night's sleep! The furnishings were no expense spared. Exceptional quality from the towels to the bedding and furniture. A well equipped kitchenette with everything you could need. Breakfast outside on the private terrace was a surprise treat! The idyllic location with birds singing under the trees was the best breakfast ever! Fabulous, friendly, and relaxed hosts. They are definitely experts in hospitality.

The fact we were only there for 1 night! We will definitely come back and explore the area just so we can stay here longer!

This is a very special House, we stayed for 4 nights at the end of our holiday to do bird watching in and around Johannesburg. Kathy and Mark were wonderfully kind and made our stay very comfortable. It is a gorgeous house and gardens full of bird song peace and tranquility. All furnishings are beautiful and bed was so comfortable….. thank you so much

Kathy and Mark very Warm and Welcoming. They made our stay quite pleasant. Will recommend the property to anyone and would go back any day. Property is in Brynston but the experience and ambiance is like somewhere in Magalies. Quite secluded and very safe.

The delicious breakfast was served on the terrace at the main guest houseand it was lovely to sit and watch the birds feeding at the same time. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The housekeeping staff were efficient and a laundry service was also available. Whist we were away travelling it was possible to store our excess luggage at the guest house. A really great stay and good value for money.

My family and I were made to feel very welcome and it was just the break we all needed after having to deal with power and water outages. It's a great spot to recharge and we loved seeing all the different types of birds enjoying feeding time. Breakfast was great, thanks so much to Lisette and her staff for making it a lovely experience!!

Excellent property with great management, best location in Joburg around trees that you can feel like you are in an old forest. Good for short and long stay. WiFi is perfect, breakfast as well. Owner is fantastic and very good talker with great knowledge about the country and its history. It’s always a pleasure to be in such places. It is also a very good monetary deal.

The breakfast was superb. I loved the fruit salad and breakfast in the garden. The stuff was very friendly and Lis you’re special. The kids loved her.

For a longer stay, the options on breakfast can be better

Beautiful home and gardens. Breakfast was fantastic and enjoyed eating on the patio watching the birds in the lush garden. Secure, feels like a retreat in the middle of the city. Use Uber!! Stay away from taxis. Don't forget your adapters for electric outlets. Three round prongs in triangle form, one larger than the other two. Gina the housekeeper was fantastic!! And Kathy and Bob are fantastic knowledgeable hosts who go out of their way to make you feel comfortable.

Not much to say here. Joburg is a big city. Make sure you know where you are going, secure your items and travel with guides or with recommendations of trusted locals.
