Our room was so spacious with great views over the harbour, beds and pillows were so comfortable. The location was convenient, close to the town and shops/restaurants. The host was so friendly and welcoming and offered us a free update of the room which made our stay even better than expected. The breakfast is delicious and offers a lot of options for all tastes. Try their omelette: definitely the best we had in South Africa! Whish we could have stayed longer!

The property is modern, clean and well appointed, in the room and common areas. The breakfast was a combination of continental buffet style and cooked options which set us up well for the day. The service from the staff was very helpful. Beach towels were provided on request. The location has great views over the bay from our balcony. Beds were very comfy, the aircon was excellent, and the large secure room safe is a good, thoughtful detail. The parking is private and off road and whilst not gated felt secure.

Slightly strange in the evenings as there are no staff on site which might not suit some. The walk down to the front is about 15 minutes down hill which mean its 20 minutes up hill which may not suit some. The small swimming pool was green and out of action during our stay.

We received a warm welcome by arrival from Laurette.Our room had the best view we ever had. The breakfast each morning was delicious, fresh, and warm. All the staff was friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were refreshed every day. We definitely are looking forward to booking with Bar-t-nique quest house AGAIN! Thank you to all the ladies, YOU ROCK!

The view over the harbour. The receptionist /breakfast hostess was friendly and professional. Nice to have both a bath and shower. Good access control.

The parking is tricky and narrow. Our room was cramped and poorly designed. Difficult to use/access clothing cupboards in the room. The balcony is tiny. Lots of noise from neighbouring guest and below. Inconsistent room cleaning/setup, missing things almost every day.

Top of a very steep hill made walking to restaurants and sights a challenge. Not the fault of the hotel but local dogs barked continuously for the three nights we were there - very loud and very close to our room.

Bar-t-nique has such charming rooms, all different with such a wonderful flair. A terrific location, close to the beach and downtown, walking distance from everything you need. A lovely breakfast room and bar for evening refreshments. Would be back in a heartbeat!

Nothing to change on this, but be aware the driveway to the parking is steep. Be ready to make sure you get all the way up the hill.

Got a free upgrade. Lorette was outstandingly nice and helpful. Breakfast was good as well.

A modern, hotel with luxury fittings and fantastic views over the town and bay. The hotel is in a quiet location and less than 1 km from the restaurants in town, although the walk back to the hotel is very steep, so I would not recommend that.

Breakfasts were a little basic and car park is very limited if the hotel should be full with car-driving guests, but those are small criticisms in an otherwise great hotel.

All was beyond epectation

Beyond your means - parking up that steep embankment was a small cahllenge. less experienced drivers would find it a challenge.

Views are lovely from the room overlooking the harbour and the breakfast was delicious. The beds are very comfortable and rooms are spacious...

The very steep hill both getting to the guesthouse (but we did find a back route which wasn't so steep) but then also the very steep drive...definitely keep your car in 1st gear....
