Review of point village hotel 12-18 June 2024: Located at The Point in Mossel Bay. We stayed in unit number 13 with sea views. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking is optional with a cost. Outside parking safe and available. Comfortable room with amenities, safe, fan, kitchen, fridge, hairdryer, and heater on request. No breakfast included. Bathroom with walk-in shower and in need of an upgrade. Elevator available. Close to restaurant Delfinos and the light house.

Fantastic location, next to gorgeous seaboard walk. Surprisingly spacious apartment that had a lot more facilities than I expected. Comfortable bed, pleasant to hear the waves in the background. Will definitely be back.

The staff was a bit "grumpy" towards me because I asked if I could check in 15 minutes early. It's okay to decline that request, just be friendly. Rooms are not sound-proofed, I was kept up by my neighbors playing music.

The view over the ocean was very nice and we didn't have to drive anywhere. The apartment was very spacious and clean.

The wifi was very poor and we had to make use of our own data for the whole week that we were here. We had to remove the trash ourselves or we had to pay R250 just for the removal of it. We still had to pay an extra R100 p/d for undercover parking even though the rate was already R2500 p/d. We had to unload our luggage right in front by the entrance in such a busy road for everyone to see, no private space to do it.

We were at the santos Beach unit, and it was the best located place I have ever been.

The parking is a big issue. There is no assigned parking. We went with a trailer and parked it in the parking area with our car. However, as we were packing to head home, the car guard came to us and showed us that someone slashed the trailer wheels and cut off the female plug of the trailer. He said he saw one of the restaurant workers next to us meddling with the trailer who told him he likes to park there. I think that if point hotel does not get a boom for parking specifically for guests there will be big issues with the restaurant as they also just brush all cigarette buds onto the beach next to them.

We liked the apartment and the layout of it. Very big, spacious rooms. The way you can dim the lights. Everything was very modern (the kitchen can be upgrade a little bit )

They close the underground parking early. Check-out time is too early 😊😉

Location X 3! This is a 1-2 star hotel but for the enviable location. Had a balcony on first floor #13 just above the street but is wasn’t deal breaker and relatively calm. Next to a seafood restaurant and a chain steakhouse is very close as is Marsh St, with various Bars/restaurants to choose from.

The room needs a work desk and chair, which there is plenty of space to place one. Be aware of only one electrical socket Euro style for the room. The rest are used by appliances and they are a large round, three post plug based on the UK style but with round contact posts, not the flat posts UK style.

The advertisement mentioned TV with satellite channels which we did not find. Instead, we also received OpenView channels. A balcony was on our list, but there was no balcony where you could sit and enjoy the beautiful view.

We enjoyed the stay, and the staff were very helpful when we had a leakage in the bathroom. The hotel is situated in a very beautiful area, and we will definitely visit it again. Only this time we will know what to expect. Thank you very much.

I loved the location. Good vibe in surroundings. Bedding was neatly displayed.. There was alot of space to.move comfortably around. Staff was supportive since we only stayed overnight to collect my husband after discharge from hospital was delayed.

Was a bit sad to pay full since it was only me as an adult and two children and we only arrived at 5.30pm and left before 9am. The staff was willing for me to wait on the deck and store my luggage should we have to stay bit longer that morning, they were very friendly. I will however always recommed this hotel and definitely support it again when i have time to enjoy the location.

The view was just breath taking from the balcony and everything was walking distance.

The hotels ground floor is upgraded but the first need and upgrade. They also need to fumigate the hotel as they was an cocarouch walking on the wall that I had.to kill. The cleaner need to clean the rooms daily not only when the people left the hotel.

Great Location. On the seafront with pre -bookable underground parking (advised especially at peak periods), with 2 good adjacent seafront restaurants. The Underground car park has a zealous guardian so maybe confirm your bay number by phone in advance as parking just outside can be difficult. They do not do breakfast and I thought the voucher to use locally was a bit odd at first but it covered a full buffet on the waterfront with just coffee extra - one of the best breakfasts of our trip. There were no issues with electricity or water, unlike some other locations in ZA. We would visit again.
