I travel often and City Lodge group is my go too if I do not have a liked hotel in the region. It offers a clean room with all facilities needed, price is acceptable and within my budget for the company.

Its time for many of these older properties to get a revamp. The carpet in the room was showing its age and really needs attention, the old, outdated, noisy aircon units really need ripping out, they are loud and clonk and donk throughout the night when it kicks in and out, it wakes you up on a regular basis. The paint needs updating to a more modern colour, the mirror on the wardrobe door was close to falling off and in general, although clean, the rooms are starting to look tired around the edges. It is also cheaper to book through bookings.com than to book on my lodger club, this does not seem right.

Service was amazing

The only problem was the towel issue. They refused to give us a second towel saying 2 adults have to share 1 towel. Stating that their policy allows for only 1 towel per room. Even in double rooms. They need to do better when it comes to that. Hygiene has to be practiced. And also there are no irons in the room. You have to go to the reception to ask for one before you get it ☹️

The last time I booked at this facility was about five years ago, but it still remains the best facility ever. The friendly and helpful staff is still there. Your breakfast is still tops, however, the price has escalated tremendously, but it is worth it.

Not much can be said on the negative side. The facility is still good.

The Breakfast buffet is overpriced and not value for money with very limited options, they charge R195 per person basically for continental breakfast with just 3 cooked items. The alternative for R60 is just dry cereals.

Location is super, reception was okay

Theres need to renovate the rooms. Old carpets n fittings. Plus my room 252 and going towards the end of the hall receives nothing but restaurant fumes. No bar fridge. Room small also. Wat is very important is replacing the carpets....so old n dirty

Everything was just superb, the check on process was easy. The rooms were clean and thoroughly enjoyed my sleep on your comfortable beds. Breakfast was very nice, thank you to all your staff members (from front desk to all the ladies who assisted us) may all of you be richly blessed.

Great breakfast! Staff were really friendly. Hotel is dated but it's the best place to stay in Polokwane for business. The casino next door is a bit disappointing when it comes to the food available there

The shower was the singled-out facility I enjoyed the most. The staff service was the second-best offering that the facility provided service that I enjoyed.

There is nothing worth mentioning. All was great.

The hotel is located right within Meropa and not that far from cbd, the hotel is clean and have friendly staff, the check in process didn't delay and everything was smooth.

The room didn't have a bar fridge and the room is just abit tiny but suitable for a couple if not staying for too long.

The hotel is ideally situated for travel in and around Polokwane city. I didn't have breakfast at the facility, preferred to have it at a different restaurant.
