Astar Hotel Jeju

We got lucky and got a 3 person room: 1 queen bed and 1 person bed. Plenty of space at your disposal. The bathroom was well equipped and big as well. The hotel offered you bathrobes and slippers which were really useful. The room was cleaned on a daily basis. Even if the hotel is not located in an area of interest, the neighborhood was really nice.

I guess the hotel has a certain air of old. the carpet on the halls looked used and here and then you could see stains. the furniture as well looked obsolete even if it was well maintained. overall just small things

We stayed in a room with a twin and a queen bed so space is a plus. We like the cleanliness of the hotel and the daily housekeeping like making up the room and changing of towels that they provided. As for location, it is the best for visiting the cherry blossom street just a few streets away. As for food, the restaurant in the hotel also provides reasonble priced meals. We also found some restaurants offering local cuisine, BBQ and fried chicken in the area. Also there is a convenient store and a bakery. The staff are helpful enough to order taxi service for us.

We didn't like the language barrier. Though one or 2 of the staff spoke some English but we think that as a business hotel, their staff should improve on their English or Chinese to a standard that they are able to hold a simple conversation with guest. If they can converse better, I am sure their service will improve greatly.

Great location, close to the airport, and easy to get in/out of with multiple bus options for all the important locations on the island. The place was very clean and comfy, nothing was missing for us. There is a convenience store right below the hotel, which is accessible from the lobby (great bonus). The staff was very friendly, and volunteered to help us order food deliveries to our room twice. In addition, we forgot a phone in the room. They reached out to us immediately, but we were already at the airport, so they shipped it to Seoul for us (and it arrived in 36 hours).

The mattress could have been a little more comfortable, but it didn't prevent us from having a good night sleep.

Location is good, near airport. there is a convenience store inside the hotel lobby. Staffs are very helpful in all ways. Car park not an issue.

There was an issue of WC and mini fridge was not cold when we check-in the room and found out after we unpacked our things from luggages. They managed to change to another room for us an hour after we check-in but we have to pack all our things again to move to another room. I suggest all these should be checked by house-keeper whenever someone check-out and realized it before the nest guest check-in to the room.

Location - 10 mins from airport, 500m from Jeju Bus Terminal, convenient for dining (solletang, fried chicken restaurants next door) and shopping (CU convenience store in lobby, global ATM in lobby), and a mini mart a few doors down Room - spacious and clean except carpet which needs shampooing Bathroom - spacious, non bathtub type suits us very well, water pressure very good Amenities - Very good. In-room: has electrical kettle, hair dryer, toiletries such as shampoo, hair conditioner and body wash, facial cotton, Q tips, hair tie, 2 x 220V power outlets, room service (10am to 10pm). Can leave luggage at lobby.

Carpet a bit dirty - needs shampooing.

- Great location for exploring Jeju - both the city and the island - Restaurant is open till late evening - Korean style sauna available in the hotel

- Poor selection at the breakfast - Food in the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired...

A great hotel in a great location. This hotel is pretty central to everything and convenient if you're traveling by public bus (very near to the terminal). The stadium, botanic gardens, and airport are really nearby (I walked to the airport to catch my return flight - 3km). Breakfast there was pretty alright. There's a lot of nearby food. Parking was easy as there's a basement and surface level parking. The room quality was up there, and had two beds to choose from (solo traveller). The view was pretty good too, overlooking the city and watching planes depart. Soundproof windows, you can't hear a thing. Also near the mega e-mart store. Would ded stay here again.

Parking was a little hard to find as the basement was full, but if you look around, there's signage showing you that there's surface parking as well (hard to see at night).

We chose the hotel to be easily accessed by bus from the airport (although taking a taxi for such a short distance might have been a better option), as well as to Hallasan trails, and it was a good choice indeed. Accessing city centre and other locations on Jeju is easy as well. The hotel was clean and there are a few good restaurants in the area. Unfortunately we didn't have time to use on-site fitness or SPA.

Nothing major to complain about. The staff at the front desk speak very poor English but they were helpful with luggage storage and ordering taxis.

Good location if you want to tour Jeju by bus. Because it's close to the bus terminal, you can get catch a direct bus to many places in Jeju. There is a convenience store at level one, bakery near the building, and Korean BBQ and fried chicken restaurants around the area. There's also a big supermarket hidden in a building across the road. No issues with the room except for missing toiletries.

This is the first hotel I've been to that doesn't provide toothbrush, toothpaste and shaver. So be sure to bring your own.

The location was good for me as it was close to the Jeju airport. There are many local restaurants, cafe, pharmacies nearby which was very handy. The size of the room was good. My parents stayed in the deluxe double room which was very spacious and had nice sea-view. The staff were very friendly and happy with their service.

If you want to stay near beach or more romantic sighting places, this may be not for you. It is more convenient choice to stay, as it is near the Jeju Dongmun market and airport.
