Excellent location for a weekend or a holiday in Almuñécar. The room was fine with all you need but the linen and the towels were all a bit tired and frayed. It is clean enough but there is not an overwhelming feeling that it is really clean. The breakfast is good and offers everything you need - cold and hot food. There is a lovely seating area outside. The hotel decor is really good.

Nothing that I can say that I absolutely didn't like. It is a pity that there is no tea/coffee/water facilities in the room and one can also not go downstairs to get some coffee. You can only order from the restaurant.

I stayed for two weeks in January 22 and worked at my usual job from the hotel room while enjoying this lovely seaside town. This is an exceptional hotel in every way. A beautiful building; in an idyllic location; run by kindly and very professional staff and yet affordable. My room was well fitted out for a long stay with a big desk and great WiFi plus plenty of space for clothes and lovely view over papaya trees and rooftops up to the castle. Great breakfasts, lovely terrace and different places to sit and read.The restaurant is very popular especially at weekends, lovely terrace for coffees and breakfast overlooking a newly renovated Square with fountains and then the sea. Two beaches, two parks and lots of other restaurants and cafes within a five minute walk. Laundry close by.

The location is great. Very near the beach, restaurants and shops. The room is exactly what is advertised and the staff are exceptionally friendly. It is wonderful to sit out on the terrace with a coffee, drink and/or have lunch.

This is a three star hotel so it doesn’t offer the little ‘extra’s - in room tea/coffee, ironing board etc. but that was to be expected. January 2023 - There is quite a lot of building work taking place here so do ask for a room away from this - or bring ear/headphones.

The location of Hotel Casablanca could not be more perfect --- overlooking lovely square and the beach; steps of the botanical gardens, tourism center, and historic city center; and a good vibe overall!

The first night, there was not AC in our room. We found out the next day that the hotel using central AC, and thinking that it was cool outside (60s Fahrenheit), there was no need for AC. But the room was warm, so they turned the central air conditioning back on and we were fine for the next three days!

Excellent location right by the beach. Decor maybe a little old-fashioned, I suppose, but I don't mind that: I quite like the extra 'character'. Friendly staff - efficient and helpful. I had lunch in the restaurant - it was nicely presented and quite tasty. Linens and towels in the room are of a decent standard. There was plenty of hot water at all times, reliable wifi, and aircon that managed to keep the temperature bearable during an exceptionally hot spell. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and paid a reasonable price for the room (I only booked a couple of days in advance). I would definitely consider staying again - at the right price.

Only small things really... For example: the lift is undeniably a bit small for the number of rooms - two people maximum, I'd say, with baggage squeezed in. So the wait might get a bit annoying when the hotel is busy. The aircon system in the room was reasonably efficient but (because it's a bit older I suppose) it's a bit noisy, which is a shame.

The hotel is in a beautiful spot with a view of two beaches, and within easy walking distance of the promenade and Los Bajos area of town. The rooms are a good size and the air conditioning was very much appreciated on this trip!

The only downside to the hotel is that there is no parking facility, other than a loading bay. This fact is barely advertised by the hotel, and I think it would be helpful to a) be quite upfront about the lack of parking and b) to have a page on the website, which clearly shows the nearest car parks.

A really lovely hotel, lovely location just a few feet from the beach. Staff were excellent, the breakfast was cooked fresh to order each morning, room was lovely and clean and well cleaned whilst we went about our days.

The one thing I would say, is the doors on the rooms need something to soften their closing. You can hear doors banging very loudly throughout the hotel all through the day and night. The loud bangs aren’t great when you’re trying to make sure your children get enough sleep in a hot place!

This place exceeded our expectations. It is like one of the hidden gems. We loved the location, updated rooms, and very clean bathrooms with good-quality toiletries. The view from the room and the balcony was stunning. I loved the boutique atmosphere and the modern updated rooms. The staff was very helpful and kind. Parking was available just across the hotel. This was our first time visiting Almunecar. The sea and both beaches were just across the hotel gorgeous and the water was glass clear. Our only regret is I wish we plan to stay here longer but definitely will come back again.

This is exactly what we needed. If we would have stayed longer, a coffee and tea maker in the room and an iron and table would have been nicer.

We have been to this hotel a few year's ago was lovely and friendly then thats why we rebooked here. The rooms have been redecorated which have been beautifully done. This time our Daughter her husband and our 4 year old granddaughter stayed in it also there room was double and a single bed the room was very spacious they were delighted. Price was very reasonable for our overnight. Hotel is in a lovely location next to the beach. Thanks for a lovey stay we will be back. 💚

Nothing everything was fantastic.

The Casablanca was a good choice. There is nothing not to like about this small family-run (at least I think it was) hotel, in possibly the best location in Almuñécar, right next to the Peñones de San Cristóbal. Our top-floor double room with balcony and sea view was perfectly well-appointed (although I suppose tea/coffee-making equipment would have been welcome, and maybe even possible - to be fair, we never asked!). A nice bathroom with good shower, excellent bedside lighting, a decent breakfast (fresh fruit juice, too), friendly staff, and free parking close by (at least while we were there – it may have had something to do with the renovation works going on on the square in front of the hotel) made this a very pleasant stop for two nights. Recommended.

No complaints, really. The lack of tea/coffee facilities in the room, possibly. Nowhere to hang coats in the hallway by the door. But all in all, this was a very decent and well-run little hotel.
