Medplaya Hotel Santa Monica

We had room on 8th floor from the pool side and we had excellent view at see, but we paid extra for this. Room was clean and every day towels were exchanged and beds were made. Breakfast staff really nice ( the nicest ones in hotel). Breakfast every day the same but tasty, could be more fruits and vegetables. Very hard to find parking space near hotel. Beach 5 minutes from hotel. Pool very nice, clean and there was no problem to find sun bed. Evening entertainments most of them in Spanish. Overall this is 3 star hotel so we did not expect miracles. We had good stay.

Bunk beds. On both of the beds there hole between bed and wall what is very dangerous and child can fall into it. On the top bed nobody could sleep. Double bed are two singles pushed together. Sometimes takes ages to get elevator.

Hotel is very nice, clean, spacious and in a great location. The room was big, clean with a nice bathroom and balcony. Balcony was watching on the mountain and the main road and was pretty quiet, the side with the pool was very noisy. Staff was nice and polite. Location is great, near the beach, a big mercadona market is nearby and only a train station is far away (it said on a map you need a 15 min but personalny think is a little bit far away). The main entrance is on lower street.

Breakfast needs more options, this is a hotel with 4 stars, for this frequency of people definitely need more food options.

Good location, staff is friendly. Clean swimming pool and rooms. This year the hotel has received 4 stars but honestly speaking I don't understand why - nothing has changed comparing to the previous year. Anyway, in general I like this place. A quite place for relaxing holiday.

Used plates are not removed in the restaurant.

Nice pool, nice food, friendly staff and good location. Reasonably priced drinks.

Wrong room given on arrival, booked a twin, gave us a double. On making them aware, I was told that it is a twin pushed together. It took a receptionist to actually look and realise that yes, it was a double. A new room was quickly sorted. Rooms overall are quite small and walls are thin. I was kept awake all night by a small child screaming in the night. (Although not the hotels fault, the screaming baby😬). I found the beds to be rock hard which isn't my ideal preference which probably contributed to a restless few nights.

There was a good variety to choose from and food was very good as well. The flexibility of choosing when we go was very convenient. The dining area was clean and the staff was prompt to accommodate.

We liked everything but would recommend some misic to play overhead. Sometimes we had some and some we did not and the clattering of dinnerware isn't as appealing as music. 😊

clean rooms and modern decor, fridge in room at no extra charge. nice touch.

Had a terrible check in, first room had someone already in it, second room had stacks of towels and sheets being used as storage room then third room was ok but opposite lifts however acceptable as I was very tired after travelling. a couple of problems with shower hose and door frame but fixed very quickly. later found out hotel had just opened day before so a few teething problems but overall enjoyed our stay and would go back.

During our stay in May, 95% of the guests were retirement age, so for us as a couple in our 20s it was a little too quite

From the very beginning we were greeted by very kind and helpful reception staff. Everything was just great until the very end. We are planning to come again next year. Location, beach, everything is within 2-3 minutes. I recommend!

The fact that the vacation ended quickly.

Super clean, had all the amenities you'd need. The mini fridge in room was very handy for putting water bottles etc. in. Staff were helpful. There were always plenty of spare sunbeds around the pool. Excellent location about 5mins walk from main street. View from the balcony was great!

The cleaning staff made their job excellent! Also, the staff at the cantina was very nice. The hotel facilities are very nice.

Too much intertaiment for children in the evenings, and too little for adults. I would prefer to have more life music in the evenings.
