The most amazing situation in an historic building. Generous room with nice bath/shower. Brilliant staff who even mended my glasses!
Two things to be aware of. Our room just got hotter and hotter until it was over 25 degrees. I kept setting a lower temp on the touch screen climate control system and turning the fan up but to no effect. Eventually I asked reception what I was doing wrong and they told me the hotel wide system can only be in heat mode or cool mode and only way to cool the room down was to turn the system off and open the window (presumably vice versa in the summer) We slept like that but just before dawn every dog, cockerel and cat in the area started to bark, crow or wail for Spain! Secondly, the sound insulation is generally poor especially re. the plumbing.

Everything! The situation was stunning, the staff were always helpful, courteous and interested in all the guests. My wife has coeliac disease and they could not have been helpful in allowing her to have a stay without any concerns for her health. The dinners and breakfasts were great with a range of delicious dishes. We thought the swimming pool water was a bit cold, but it was in fact just right to refresh one in the heat of the day. Our tour of the charming city of Carmona was the best of our Andalusian trip. What a lovely and interesting community. The bedroom on the 3rd floor was spacious, clean and comfortable. We were sorry to leave. We will return.
Nothing.

The views are amazing and worth coming alone. The views plus the pool is why we chose to stay here and we were not disappointed! Beautiful pool, and very kind lady working at the pool. She was attentive and sweet. They have free parking on the property. Great feeling to stay in such a beautiful historical site. Would recommend for others in the future to visit. Wifi works. Lovely small quaint town.
Everything was great but the only call out is how expensive the breakfast was when you are already paying so much for the stay. In my opinion, breakfast could have been included in the price of stay. We did not opt in for breakfast/lunch or dinner because we could walk 2 minutes and got a truly amazing dinner/lunch for 30 EUR total for 2. For example breakfast was 20 EUR per head, while we paid 15-20 total for breakfast for 2 every morning going outside.

The views were exceptional so peaceful reminded me of the African plain without the big five 😊 The hotel itself was beautiful so moorish in style. Food was very good. Restaurant could do with sound proofing as we had big groups on our stay and the noise levels could be high. That said you could escape to the beautiful lounge areas which were peaceful and calm. Swimming pool was lovely but a treck down steps so although the pool catered for anyone with disabled needs not sure how they would get down to it? So need to check that? All in all fabulous 🥰
The architecture the way the rooms were so authentic in style. The views were mind blowing as were the sun rise and sun sets.

Dramatic location. Great view down to the pool and out across the fields. Hotel has a beautiful courtyard patio and impressive dining room. Our room was tastefully decorated with a nice window seat to take in the view. It was easy to explore Carmona on foot from the hotel. Bar and dinning room were both good. We enjoyed a club sandwich at lunchtime and had a good meal in the restaurant in the evening.
The sound proofing in the room wasn’t very good. Lots of noise from running water when others were flushing toilets or running taps. Service at breakfast was poor. I waited ages to order my hot breakfast and when it came it was stone cold. Coffee in the pot was weak. Disappointed to see plastic pod coffee machines. Not very environmentally friendly. All the yogurt had sweeteners. Selection of fruit was quite limited.

The position of the parador and the architecture are absolutely stunning. It is like living in a palace! :) The staff were also brilliant. Both Isa and Sol on reception were both super helpful at all times. Really great. The Mudejar style patio is a fabulous space to while away the hours whether reading, drinking or eating. All of the leisure rooms are fantastic. Well worth a visit if only for the architecture and the location. Brilliant. Also, free parking, some of which is part-covered, makes any stay trouble-free when arriving and departing by car. Overall, absolutely fantastic!
There was nothing we didn't like. However, to get into any of the bedrooms requires an element of previous safe-cracking expertise! :)

The parador is in a fantastic position overlooking the whole area. Location close to the town is also good. Our room was spacious and well furnished. Bed was very comfortable. The decor and ambience of the whole property was completely authentic with the building. We had dinner on one evening in the restaurant and it was excellent. The breakfast choice was good. Lovely pool area.
The pod coffee maker for breakfast needs to be replaced, slow and difficult to use. The bar was closed at 23.05 and no possibility to get a drink, not good enough for a 4* hotel. Be warned-there are 84 steps down to the pool, so it’s a hike up afterwards.

It is in a fantastic position with fantastic views. Our room looked East over the Pool (way below) and miles and miles over the plain. Fantastic sun rise photos! Check in staff were a delight and very helpful (even showed us a phone video of a winter storm breaking in through the glass doors). Room was excellent (it’s a Parador so rooms are usually big with older furniture) and very clean. Very comfortable bed and good toilet facilities (toiletries usual Parador standard). As mentioned the public areas are close to spectacular. A drink on the terrace with that view or in the Courtyard with the fountain – just wow. Breakfast was a good cold buffet style (as per Parador standard) with hot items on request with fast service. We ate in the restaurant and it was of good quality with local area items. Service was good.
Nothing.

Our GPS took us past the Parador even though we saw a sign that said Parador with a arrow pointing up the hill. Believe the sign!! Very narrow streets leading to the hotel but once past the police station you will know you are on the right trail. The facility is lovely. The rooms have older, sturdy furniture but super clean and excellent views. Each room has a balcony with table and 2 chairs. The staff was wonderful. Breakfast was buffet and also had menu items. Dinner was wonderful! The second night we wandered down the street from the hotel and ate at a local restaurant.
The mattresses could be a little more comfortable. They were good but not as plush as I expected.

We stayed in a room with a balcony and had beautiful views of the plains below. As the hotel is on a hill you also get uninterrupted views for miles from the breakfast hall and we sat by a window every morning to have our breakfast and enjoy the views. There were plenty of Spanish style pastries and you can also order a cooked breakfast if that's what you prefer.
Our bedroom door was opposite a door marked as 'service' and it was a bit noisy in the evening at about 8pm when people (presumably staff?) were gathered and talking loudly and this went on for some considerable time.
