The rooms were large and comfortable. The breakfast was amazingly good, simple, but everything was fresh, well sourced and of great quality. The hotel grounds were very well maintained and quite large.

Odd hours for the kids park to be open, we wished that the info on that was visible somewhere on booking. The air conditioning was living it's last breath, but functional.

Hotel is a little gem in a small town with a fantastic restaurant and facilities. It's a oasis in the middle of a farmland and was home to a bull raising facility in the 70s. It's very comfortable with an excellent swimming pool facility. Really didn't like leaving.

Venue hosts large group weddings etc and it just so happened we were there for two weddings on the same day and night. Second wedding went through to 6am and it did effect our sleep.

Perfect location as traveling home from Portugal to UK . Wonderful overnight stop . The Restaurant is superb one of the best meals I have had for some time .

Nothing to dislike - menu in Spanish only but hey - we are in Spain . We always manage and the staff try very hard - English is not there native tongue - but so much better than my Spanish , so I applaud them 👏🏼

Beautiful setting near a medieval town. Comfortable amenities which accommodated us as a family.

The only setback was that the pool was not open for use even though the weather & temperature was very warm. Would have been nice to have time to lie in lounge chairs by the pool.

beautiful grounds and lovely hotel interior with a strong link to bullfighting. very large and comfortable bedroom. very good breakfast. excellent staff and friendly service. Excellent large outdoor swimming pool and plenty of sun beds.

problem with the water supply in the bathroom (which was quickly rectified) and shower taps which were not easy to regulate. aircon not as efficient as some more modern hotels but again staff helped quickly to improve the situation

Top notch room and hotel. The room was beyond spacious and well maintained even though it has its age, everything was clean and working great with a charming retro feel.

The pool is great but the automatic shower at the entrance also turns on upon exit which is not ideal especially with kids coming in and out. The system can easily be fixed by putting two sensors instead of one, hence ensuring it would turn on only on entrance.

Ciudad Rodrigo is a hilltop fortified town and the hotel does have a facility up there. However this second hotel is nearby out on the plain. This means they have a large area for parking and a section that is secure (but has to be paid for)

Tied in with the above, there is nowhere nearby that you could walk to, you would have to drive. This is merely an informative point not a complaint.

The hotel was lovely and clean, very spacious room, friendly staff

Its advertised has having a lift thats one reason I booked it, having a disabled daughter who struggles with stairs but unfortunately it doesn't have a lift. We booked to have an evening meal at the hotel as its out of the way, it wasn't good to be honest, if your a carnivore its great cos all you get is a slab of meat no veg or salad

Lovely Spanish hotel in immaculate grounds. Just outside Cuidad which we love. Enjoyed a swim in the pool.

Did not realise my room was upstairs and no lift in premises. We managed but was not easy.

On motorcycle tour, returning from Porto. Everything about this hotel was terrific. Secure parking. Beautifully maintained and full of history, especially the bullring and associated memorabilia. Fantastic pool and gardens. Look up the restaurant, in top ten in province. We look forward to another visit.

A taxi is needed into Cuidad Rodrigo. 30 minute walk is ok if you like a stroll.
