Great location, clean and comfortable rooms, and having a swimming pool is a wonderful way to escape the August heat in Córdoba.

This is the only hotel we’ve ever been to that doesn’t offer complementary tea and coffee. Similarly, we were surprised that the lemonade by the pool wasn’t complementary. It would have been much better if they would just add 10 euros to the price of the room, instead of overcharging for stuff that should be complementary. It’s not about the money, it’s about making us feel like welcomed guests and not like a walking wallet.

It's a maze of houses & courtyards all connected together to create a hotel. Easy to get lost lol, but its not a complaint. No kettle in the room to make a tea or coffee is the main thing that's missing. .

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel. It is located right at the entrance of the Jewish quarter, which is an ideal location for the Mezquita and Alcazar, but is a peaceful hideaway when you want to relax and get away from the busy tourist areas. We loved the pool and sun-bathing areas, they were never busy when we were there, so very relaxing and peaceful. The staff were all very friendly and keen to help you. I was really impressed that despite being next to the busy Jewish quarter, we had absolutely no noise problems at all and slept really well - the windows are double-glazed! Also the check-out at 12 was great, meaning we didn't have to rush on our final day.

Only very very minor points here! I would like to have been able to have breakfast outside and for there to be sunbeds by the pool rather than chairs, but everything was generally fantastic.

The individuality of the hotel. It has the feel of a boutique hotel. It is set in the heart of the old city and the layout reflects the historical, largely moorish style of that area. With its courtyards, fountains, waterducts and greenery, it is an oasis of quiet opulence and comfort shielded from the hubbub of the narrow, cobbled streets beyond. The high end finish to our room (Penthouse Patios). We expect to compromise a little when opting for character and history ahead of more functionally conceived hotels. There was no need here. The bathroom fittings, the soft furnishings, the bed and bedclothes, the wood and the marble were all top class and the air con performed well with temperatures edging towards the 40C mark. We didn't use the TV. It may look strangely positioned but we'd guess lying on the huge bed with head gently supported by the plethora of pillows would be ideal. A position that worked for us when browsing our guidebooks. The private terrace gave us a welcome sense of space even if it was little used due to the heat outdoors. It was however an ideal place to finish off after a swim in the refreshing and beautifully maintained pool. The Staff. Finally a word of appreciation for all of the staff whose work underpinned the relaxation of our stay. The front desk service was always friendly and discrete and our every request was met with quiet efficiency.

Personally speaking, nothing at all. Breakfast in a moderate indoor location at 16 euros a head didn't tempt us, so we (freely) made a modest saving and breakfasted elsewhere nearby. Although there was very handy lift access to our room, had we been wheelchair-bound, it may be that parts of our room would have been a little narrow and also that there would have been a few steps and changes of level too many for comfort.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, so romantic, such attentive staff, amazing location.

This is my only negative about the hotel but it is a big one for me, the room had a really strong scent of something like a fake sweet air freshener. It smelt like they sprayed a lot of it on the curtains and armchair. The scent was pretty intoxicating and even though we aired the room pretty much constantly while we were there the scent was still present. I was a bit worried how much they had sprayed as we were staying their with our baby which is why we constantly aired the room. This may not be an issue for other people who don’t mind air fresheners being used on soft furnishings in the room.

The location is excellent for anyone who wants to spend time in the historical area of the city. You can valet park your car which you won't need during your stay in order to visit the main sites. Our room was comfortable and the bathroom was very nice. The (optional) breakfast buffet was excellent with plenty of food and beverage choices. And, there are both indoor and outdoor common areas available to enjoy time with friends (outside of your rooms). We also appreciated being able to watch English language news channels on the TV.

The layout of this (older) building can be a bit confusing with many staircases and elevators. Not a big issue, but it is easy to get turned around.

Location could not be more perfect, the hotel is beautiful, and the staff friendly and helpful. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay.

The coffee at breakfast comes from a vending machine and is truly atrocious. Since coffee is not provided in the rooms (and neither is tea) we found ourselves having to go to a cafe directly after breakfast because it was just that unpalatable. Also, I think this was the only hotel during our trip through the Iberian Peninsula where none of the drinks or snacks offered were complimentary. The positives well outweighed the negatives, though, and is worth it for the amazing location alone.

Fantastic location. Friendly staff. Fascinating architecture. Honesty Bar. Shaded courtyards. A plethora of trickling fountains. Pool with gym gear perched above Roman remains. Relaxing vibe. One of the better places we have stayed.

No onsite restaurant, though there is a menu and the kitchen will bring your order to wherever you've chosen to sit. Lots of changes of floor level, so not good for mobility-challenged guests. Passing tourists peering into hotel interior.

Lovely, boutique-style hotel in a very central, quiet location. An old building, so lots of character. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bedroom was a very good size, with a really comfortable, large bed. The bathroom was well-equipped (2 washbasins, shower, separate bath); slightly strange toilet installation - not much room! Very good breakfast buffet, even though there were not many guests (midweek January). Bar was not operating when we were there (January). Parking was less than 100m away; I self-parked, which was fine (€17 for 24 hrs). Excellent central location - 5 minutes walk from the Mosque. Overnight was very quiet. Plenty of bars, restaurants, shops within a very short walk.

old world graciousness! every detail thought out. beautiful furniture. Great location. incredible to stay there, felt like to stepped back in time. lovely staff. at my request they brought in an electric tea kettle so I could make tea in my room. (there also was a mini fridge). loved the afternoon honor room where they served wine and beer. would stay there again!

The breakfast at the restaurant was not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. we only had it once and after that went out for breakfast.
