Calm, comfortable, high standard of furnishing. Lovely welcome and lots of useful advice for getting the most out of San Sebastián. Dinner was amazing by Xaxa. Breakfast good and outdoor terrace really lovely. Only 10 mins easy walk to bus stop or train to get into town (every 20 mins). Easy to pay using credit card on the bus. Return we took a taxi - only 12 euros.

Personally we are not fans of glass wall bathrooms due to echo and light during the night. Also the floor in the shower was unstable. All that said - it’s very high quality and looks beautiful. We would still choose to stay here again.

The Heredad de Unanue is a lovely and truly exceptional hotel. Located in an idilic place, among apple and kiwi fruit orchards, the beautifully restored old farmhouse offers an oasis of peace and comfort only 15 minutes away from Donostia's (San Sebastián) busiest streets. The decoration is beautiful, and every person working there is friendly, professional, and helpful. The room and amenities are first class. For foodies, please have dinner at the hotel. The chef, Xaxa, is a rare genius, we have the most amazing dinner there, and we asked to meet him to offer our appreciation. He does everything, prefers to cook for a few at the hotel, and offers the superb quality one would expect at a Michelin stared place. The restaurant is open only to residents, so your delicious meal can be had in peace and with no rush. We stayed at the hotel three nights and was the best stay in Spain ever (including top hotels and Paradores).

Not realising the restaurant was so good until our last night. Otherwise, we could have sampled the whole menu.

I seldom have been in a hotel that is perfect in every sense. Location, decor, service and extras. In my book, it is a six-star rural home where the owners treat you as their honored guests and provide a zen-like hideaway. They are masters of all those little details that combine into a memorable stay. Hats off to a family that shames many a graduate from the best Hotel Schools in the world. When you focus on how they do it, you understand that honestly opening your home to others is an art, with just a bit of science. The most important thing is that you must care. And they do indeed.

That we could stay longer…but then, that was our fault.

The place and the level of service was exceptional! We were given a choice for breakfast, which were great. There is always bottled water and coffee/tea available. The location is quiet with beautiful views of the countryside and you can have breakfast outside. All the front desk staff were outstanding, and in particular Maurizio who helped us with a transportation issue. They went the extra mile. The location has free parking and is not in the city center (why it is quiet and serene) and there is a ten minute walk down the hill to the train or bus station (we took the train into San Sebastian, a short ride). We took a cab back as the walk back is up a hill and dark at night, but the cab was affordable. Overall, one of the best run boutique hotels I have stayed at. Highly recommended.

Everything was perfect, from the warm welcome of the owners to the quietness of the place. It only has 11 rooms and you feel a sense of relax as soon as you step foot in there. The breakfast is highly recommended, most of the products are Km0 and you can pre-order whatever you wish, which is a very smart way to avoid generating wasted food. We also had dinner there 1 night and it was as delicious as the breakfast. If I go back to San Sebastian I will most definitely go back there.

The only thing which could be better is the size of the double bed which is a bit small, but still very comfortable and overall nothing to complain about.

Fully enjoyable stay at Heredad in May for two nights. Heredad is run by a respectful family. Bianco and Manakis were fantastic hosts, very kind, warm and informative. Heredad was a very successful story for restoration to be a such cozy boutique hotel by Bianco's family. Hotel was meticulously kept and maintained. Room was impeccably clean. It is in a natural and rural setting. Great breakfast. Plenty of parking on site. Super desirable venue for small wedding as well. Like the lovely lobby, cozy and pragmatic. Grateful for all the pleasant memories during our stay to Bianco, Manakis and all other staffs.

Actually, there was none.

Very fashinating hotel in a peaceful location. The rooms are modern and comfortable, the common rooms are cozy and very well decorated. The hosts are very helpful and discrete at the mean time. Breakfast on the terrace with local products is fantastic.

Just be aware that it is quite secluded from the city center. If you want to enjoy the movida of San Sebastián, you need to take the car (parkings in the city are quite expensive) or the bus.

We were very looked after from arrival to check out. The hotel is a old stone house very well preserved. The staff is very attentive and always ready to give us all the necessary information. I liked the coffee/tea facilities.

The food was good (we had one dinner and breakfasts), but could be better (we were expecting something better prepared). The hotel is a little far from San Sebastian main beaches but as we had a car it was very easy to get around.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful surrounding, owned and run by a family who is making sure their guests feel welcome and taken care of from arrival until departure. They offer delicious homemade food with local produce (they make their own apple juice which is very tasty) for dinner and breakfast. Cozy dining and living room with a terrace overlooking their 14 hectares land. Little pantry with coffee, tea and water available for free to guests at all times. Rooms are nicely decorated, equipped with everything you need. It is a wonderful little hotel, we enjoyed our short stay very much and will definitely be coming back for a longer stay.

The location was excellent, perfect placed just outside San Sebastián in a tranquil setting. The ability to have great food whilst looking out across the orchard was great. The hotel itself was brilliant, the room was lovely and the most impressive element was the hospitality. We felt like the owners couldn’t do enough for us, up to special effort being made to give us breakfast for our early flight.

Nothing.
