The staff at the front desk provided very helpful information about the parking, let me check in early since the room was ready, and overall were exceptional. The location is perfect for walking to the historic core - 2minutes away - and there are many good restaurants close by. Room and bathroom were pristine. I think this added up to great value for my stay.

I heard the plumbing from other rooms overnight. It actually woke me up. I don't know if there was a problem causing the noise - sounded like flushing and faucets being used - but it was disturbing. Also I would have liked a larger towel for the shower. The one provided was more like a hand towel. Luckily I am petite, but can't imagine how a taller/broader person would fare.

The Peninsular was exceptionally well cared for and clean. It was located close to the river and the older tourist area. There are lots of restaurants closeby . The staff were always very helpful and able to speak English. The Peninsular has a historical life worth reading.

Parking was off side and somewhere cumbersome. Pay $8. At the hotel and the balance to the offsite facility.

We loved the location of the hotel, it was so convenient to be able to walk out of the hotel and straight into the heart of the city within less than 2 minutes! The room was so lovely, clean and comfortable, perfect to relax in after long days of walking around sightseeing! The air conditioning and bathroom were perfect, and it was great to have a safe and a fridge! If we visit Girona again, we'll definitely stay here again!

It would have been good to be provided with some English breakfast tea in the room and a choice of milk, e.g. soya milk. Breakfast was good, but it would have been great to have more vegan options, e.g. dairy-free and egg-free pastries, vegan cheese etc.

Perfect location - close to restaurants and bars, and the beautiful old town Girona, and 10 mins walk to the train/bus station which connects you to Barcelona and the airport. Room was bigger than we were expecting, and everywhere was spotlessly clean. Reception staff were lovely and always helpful.

The beds were quite hard, but we can appreciate it's difficult to cater for everyone. A minor point is that there is no iron or ironing board available - no big deal but worth being aware of.

The room was sooo comfortable and there was a dividing screen between the two bedrooms for privacy. Both rooms were spacious and had very comfortable beds. We had a coffee machine which we made use of and a tiny fridge for keeping our water cold. The bathroom was really nice and we were given a lot of exceptional miniature toiletries. It's just across the bridge from the best part of the city and there are great places to eat locally. Most of the staff were really friendly and very helpful. We even had them book us a taxi to the airport when we had moved to our second property of our stay. Would 100 percent book again

There wasn't really anything. I usually book places with a balcony so I can sit outside with a coffee in the morning but that's it!!

One of the front desk employees was kind enough to borrow us wine glasses to finish our great Rioja wine in our room. Despite that the official policy does apparently not allow for glasses in the room because the fear of broken glasses. We salute him for daring to ignore this silly rule. In fact the manager that came up with it should be fired imho. 😀

It took for ever for the water in the shower to get warm.

Great location, Savoy cafe was handy for a coffee or beer and a few snacks. Lovely hotel in the town centre . Would definitely stay here again on our next visit.

Bath with shower was difficult to get past the fixed shower screen. You have to be very careful not to lose your balance or slip as you squeeze past the screen and the wall. A moveable screen would make it easier.

Lovely modern hotel smack in the centre of Girona virtually on the river and within easy walking distance from the cathedral and ancient city wall. Public parking is a five minute walk away and the hotel has special arrangements for discounted rates. The room and bathroom are well equipped and immaculate. There is both a fridge and safe in the room. The lift is a little slow. Staff are efficient and spoke good English. I will stay there again when next in the town.

The location of the hotel is very central, so you can go to the old city by a 10 min. walk The staff is very kind and know what you need as a traveller. For example proactive in offering storing my luggage at an early arrival when the room was not ready, making use of a bathroom, etc.

My room had only a small window with not much daylight coming in. The breakfast buffet was ok, but the space where breakfast is served, is not so inspiring.

Clean and comfortable. Superior room good value for money. Room was large and well equipped with kettle/ tea making facilities. Breakfast is not included in the room rate but cost 12 euros. Very good continental breakfast with lots of choice. Staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful. Location very good for sightseeing- 10 minute walk into the old town. Would definitely stay again.

Room faced the street and was a bit noisy due to traffic and street cleaners.
