What a great location! Centrally located near the Cathedral and walkable (big hill) to the Alhambra, with food and drink options all around. And yet, it is off the main street in a lovely, historic area. They have maintained the charm of the original palace, making the rooms lovely and unique. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We did not expect to have to walk up stairs to get to our room. Also, the bedroom was a few steps down from the living area and bathroom. We were OK, but if you have any physical disabilities I would advise checking that your room is easily accessible by the elevator and that your room is on a single level.

A beautiful historic hotel. We had a very comfortable, clean room. The location could not be better. We felt right in the centre and yet inside all was quiet and calm. For an elderly person some of the steps/stairs were challenging so care needed but certainly a hotel to remember.

A bit chilly in parts of the hotel because of the open air central structure - and the cold mornings and nights in February. I can imagine it will be wonderfully cool in hot summer weather. A separate shower rather than over the bath would make showering easier for older guests. A rail at front door steps would also help those guests.

Very much an old style building, based around ancient arab styling. Central courtyards with outer courtyards, kept the hot sun off nicely. The room was based on an internal balcony. The room was huge, with a choice of windows, including wooden blackout panels and very high ceilings. I eventually found the air-con, which was hidden in plain sight by the door. The room contained a fridge mini-bar. I didn't use any breakfast facilities whilst in Granada, but I bet the hotel's breakfast was great. A 10 second walk and you were down on the main tourist street of the Albazin, and overlooked by the sight of the Alhambra Palace towering above. A short walk to the left provided a shop selling drinks and snacks. Behind the hotel were a myiriad of twisty roads leading upwards to the old city. I was pleasantly surprised to find on my way out, that a 200m walk to the right (in the main piazza),, contained an abundance of taxis. The staff seemed pretty top notch in general and most spoke a little English when my Spanish broke down. What an absolutely lovely surprise to find such an excellent hotel, located in the historic centre. I spent 2 happy nights there on my tour.

I did manage to get briefly locked outside the hotel on my first night, but this was quickly rectified.

The location of the hotel is really 10/10. In Granada, you can reach everything a tourist wants to be close to in 5-10 minutes by walking. The hotel is very clean and the employees are very friendly. I didn't try breakfast, so I can't comment on that. Definitely a hotel where you get your money's worth. except the internet problem everything was perfect.

The hotel's internet is really bad. no wifi in most parts of the room. we tried to work with our computers from the lobby but even then the internet connection was not good at all. most of the time the internet connection losted suddenly. If you are thinking of working from the hotel, do not choose this hotel. However, the internet problem is not only in the hotel, but in general in Granada, we experienced it most of the time.

The hotel is excellent value for money Ideally located for sight seeing, shopping and restaurants. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The breakfast room was small and we asked for a table in the courtyard for our family of four instead of taking two small tables and the lady seemed more than willing to do this for us. On arrival the receptionist was extremely friendly and offered us some excellent advice.

The room and shower cubicle was a bit on the small side. However, bearing in mind the price charged this wasn't a problem.

So charming! Hidden up a staircase in an alley you will find this unique and charming gem. Our receptionist was so welcoming and helpful as were all the front desk staff during our stay. You cannot help but feel transported to another time and place with the open aired courtyard surrounded by the hotel rooms. My room had wooden shutters and lots of windows. Adequate space and furnishings and a roomy bathroom. There is an elevator as well.

As the "modern" renovations probably happened quite some time ago; and I'm assuming in an effort to preserve all the charm, there isn't really any insulation against outside noise, such as noisy guests and we had a small issue with ants even though we weren't eating in our room.

The check in process was smooth and our rooms were ready when we arrived. The staff were very welcoming and the hotel is lovely. There are nooks all over to sit and read or chat and the ambiance is exactly what it should be: beautiful old restored palace. Breakfast was way more than we expected for a Spanish continental breakfast and, for our group, it was worth the price. Location is fabulous and ultra convenient to everything. Not, I wouldn't think, at all appropriate for those with mobility issues, however.

Some rooms are small, as was ours but, even with that, it was very comfy. Just don't expect a lot of modern luxury! If that's what you want, this may not be the hotel for you. We had to schedule our breakfast time (as in 9 to 10 or 10 to 11) as the breakfast room is quite small.

Great staff from reception to kitchen and restaurant staff. Put up with our constant requests for hot water to make tea (English!) With grace and a smile even when busy. Rooms comfortable and the hotel was a traditional building based around patios some very atmospheric yet the site peaceful after hectic site seeing days even though you could not be more central to the old parts of Granada. Thank you

Parking in a city is always a challenge and although there is an arrangement with a local underground park 10 minutes walk away it is another significant cost (£20/Day)

Location was excellent - very central and close to restaurants and bars. Great hotel to base yourself for touring Granada. The hotel and room was very authentic and tastefully decorated. The staff were very helpful and friendly

We reported a fault with the shower on our first night. We were told the next day that maintenance had been informed, unfortunately it wasn't repaired during our 3 night stay. I did point this out on check out and although the receptionist was very apologetic - we couldn't use the shower during our stay and had to use our son's bath (he was staying in another room). One very small point was that the info in the room 'book' is not up to date. It mentions coffee being served daily between 16.30 to 18.30 - this wasn't apparent during our stay.

We enjoyed staying at this converted palace, a piece of the Albaycin history with modern amenities in an ideal location. The robust breakfast offerings were good and staff was pleasant and helpful. Tip: definitely use taxi service from the parking garage to hotel- 5€ and 6 minute drive instead of 15+ minutes walk through streets and tourists. We assumed taxi would be more expensive and wasted time trying to find hotel with bags in tow (mistake). There was a good, working elevator to access rooms and approximately 15 steps from the street to access the authentic alley front door (plenty of signs everywhere).
