We stayed in one of the old rooms in the main building, which was lovely and full of character. Very attractive central courtyard with fountain, and spacious, pleasant lounge area for guests. The pool was quiet and good for swimming lengths. The restaurant meals were very good quality and a lovely experience sitting outside. (Although the usual problem in Spain of lack of choice for vegetarians).

The breakfast was very overpriced at 19 euros per person - it was good enough, but nothing exceptional about it. (We had one just as good in Segovia for just 9 euros each). Although they appeared to have plenty of parking space, we would have had to have paid extra to use it! So we street-parked for free 5 mins walk away.

Beautiful architecture, including the conversion of its original purpose to a hotel. Design top class. Bar person (female) willingly took a picture of our group and followed up with asking if the photos were acceptable.

Detail was lacking. Bathrooms whilst having high quality materials such as marble is showing it’s age in a way that looks unclean or hard to clean. Difficult way finding to the pool when trying yo access it for the first time. Bird droppings on courtyard seating. Rooms 20 and 21 safes not operable. Label on safe say no management responsibility for valuables in safe, but no management facility for safe keeping of valuables on asking the reception staff. Staff did their job but not warm and friendly. It’s as though they are there to perform a function but not to enhance a positive client experience. That was experienced at reception, breakfast room, swimming pool.

Another Parador restored sympathetically, and close to the small historic centre. Our room was a junior suite with a balcony overlooking the gardens. The added bonus of a pool too if staying for a few days. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful particularly the lady on reception who helped us locate the parking!

It isn’t easy if arriving by car to find the right way to the car park, in particular when you see the Parador parking sign but there’s also a no entry sign on the wall! It’s worth contacting the property in advance to get directions.

It was a quiet room with no view since the window was very high up. Location very central but found difficulty to park since the front office did not explain well, where the parking was situated, so we just parked up the road, which resulted very difficult to go down the very stiff curvy slope to the hotel, laden with luggage. It was fiesta time so we could not drive it through the normal road. It was good overall. Nothing special from other 4 star hotels, Paradores are always pricier.

lack of instructions re parking [during fiesta time]

Our lofty room had a balcony looking across the pool garden to the towers of the famous monastery. Dinner in the garden was exceptionally nice. The pool was dreamy. The other hotel guests seemed like very nice, interesting people, quiet and thoughtful We fantasized about living here.

A large party went on for much the day and evening on the ground floor in the event rooms. The children at the party were not very carefully supervised, so the lovely quiet central patio was sometimes a bit of a bear garden. Not the parador's fault, but their problem even so.

Lovely hotel opposite the Monastery, our room had a view and it was well worth the extra. Super friendly and helpful staff. Good sized car park. Easy to navigate to hotel as it is small town. car park entrance just before hotel entrance, was hidden by lorry when we arrived but you can park outside for a few minutes. Very nice dining space with good food

All good

The breakfast was very good, lots of offerings, fresh squeezed orange juice, tongs for individual collection of food. Amazing views of the countryside from the balcony. Courtyard smelled beautiful with the azahar in bloom.

I had to dipute with the front desk my room rate. They were convinced that my breakfast and VAT were not included, but they were per my reservation. I felt that the front desk was really hard to get in touch with, and they also need better directions on how to arrive to the parador for parking or alternate parking. Had I not asked I would not have gotten the instructions and it would have been frustrating to not have them in advance. The rooms do not provide much insulation and you can hear everyone, everything, above and beside your room.

The property could not be more central but was a challenge to find. Parking is provided and is secure but again the signage was a little modest.

I booked this because of the pool which wasn’t open. I missed the entrance to the parking and ended up in very narrow streets.

Great Location, 100 yards from the Monastery. Comfortable room and beds. A meal in the quiet courtyard was most enjoyable. Excellent cuisine. Beautiful garden to stroll in. Secure parking within hotel.

The location was superb - right next to the monastery. Our room had a great view overlooking the monastery and the hotel's tranquil gardens. And we were lucky enough to get free parking directly outside.

Bit of a tortuous hike to get from reception to our room, but it was no big deal.
