Very well located, easy walking distance to the metro and many of the main sights. Friendly staff. Very clean, which is an absolute must! I was in room 7, it had a small balcony and I loved being able to open the doors for some fresh (still very warm!) air at night. Air conditioner worked fine. I think the bed was comfortable - I was pretty tired by the end of each day so I didn’t think about it. There is a lift! Saved my feet after walking all over Madrid. I had to check out very early in the morning and it was very easy. Recommended for solo travellers and/or those on a budget who want something simple and central.

The teeny tiny bathroom could be an issue for some people. For me it was ok - I’m an average sized woman - but for someone larger or with mobility issues it might be difficult. The room itself was small and again, it was ok for me, but if I were travelling with someone else I would want more room. The furnishings were a bit dated but I was using the accommodation as a sightseeing base so this was not a priority for me, it was absolutely fine and functional. I think the Google map is tricky. Found it hard to find the place when searching for the name but it was easy when I put in the address.

Location is great in the Letras neighhood. Chic, Bohemian neighhood with lots of cool shops, cafes, bakeries and restaurants. Walking distance to all major sites and Atocha train station. Our corner room had two balconies! Enjoyed the view of the neighborhood from our room. Quiet at night. Everything in the room worked, bathroom shower and drain and sink drain. Had hand soap and T P.. Closet helped to keep our luggage off the floor and gave us a bit more room to move. Elevator is great. The hostal is on upper floor. AC worked.

Room is on the smaller side. Compact. The hostal Is older with narrow hallways and limited mobility in the room. Our bed only had a thin sheet and very thin bed spread. No blanket.

They made us wait 15 minutes for check ın despite the fact that we room supposed to be ready at that time as stated in the bookings check in hours. Overall old building and below average rooms but after all it was reasonably priced at the time we booked. No complains there. We needed two separate single beds and a private bathroom and this place was one of the budget friendly option there was. Stuff was a bit rude or uncaring but there wasn’t any big issues whatsoever. For budget travelers it can be a good choice

The location couldn't be better as it is close to the Retiro park, Prado Museum, and all other tourist attractions. The room was clean and tidy. Our room was facing the street and might get noisy at night. Overall a good place to stay.

I sent two messages about check-in time since my friend arrived earlier but never got any response. Everything was fine at the end. The staff is friendly and helpful but we would appreciate a response since it was the first time we were getting to the accommodation.

Good staff, the owner is very welcoming, very clean area outside, the room service was very. Good, except one small thing.

There was no fridge in the room, or even a shared fridge in the property to store fruits or cakes or cool water... In general, the room was tidy, but it seemed like they didn't mop or sweap the floor on a daily basis.

The place was clean and tidy, the staff was friendly and helpful. I arrived and I had to wait a little bit for them to finish cleaning the room, which was totally fine and I was happy to do it. I left my bags there while i went for a quick walk and the lady took my bags to the room once she was done. The room was tiny but perfect for one person. I also asked information on how to get to the hotel at an ungodly hour and they helped me with my request. Recommend this!

I went in the spring during that time of a year where it is both cold and hot at the same time so the room was a bit chilly, but I was never cold at night, the bed was warm and comfy.

The location was great- in a very fun area of Madrid. Lots of great bars and restaurants steps away. I had a balcony that I could look out of. I had my own tiny bathroom and a full sized bed!

Things are a little worn and old and the room and bathroom are quite small, but for the price it’s good. There’s hardly ever anyone at the desk, so it’s not a very personal experience.

The place was exactly what we were look for.. very well located, close to Atocha train station (15 mins walking), very close (walking) to La Gran via, Centro de Bella’s artes, museo el Prado, Museo reina Sofía, parque el retiro, puerta de Alcalá, catedral de Almudena, mercado de San Miguel .. among some many other nice places to visit. Thanks Adrian for your hospitality, our stay was very pleasant! . Room is like photos, very basic but very clean, clean towels every day, they cleaned the room every day. Adrian was very kind allowing us to leave the luggage after our check out as we had a late train to Barcelona. We had a great time in Madrid !

I would mention just the fact that we could heard noise from outside till late. It wasn’t a problem for us, we slept without any trouble but If you are a very light sleeper.. then it might be an issue otherwise is ok. Also I would suggest to upgrade the pillow, it was very flat. And perhaps the option to make a coffee or tea in the room would be very useful. Otherwise all good!

Good location and good value for money. Everything you need close by.

I'm only giving it a 9 because the man at reception buzzed us in from the street and stood at the level 2 reception area door while struggled with our suitcases when there ended up being a lift that we could have used. Otherwise the stay was good.

The service was very good, straight forward and very kind. They took care of our luggage a couple of times without hesitation and very happy to do their job, which was a great experience for us. Definitely a great place to stay even with family and small children.

Overall everything was great
