This is THE PLACE to be if staying at Oropesa in terms of location overlooking the town/ Sierra. The breakfast is buffet style and all inclusive, very well stock, plenty to choose from and very organized/clean. The dinner was excellent, very good food and some tables have a unique view of the Sierra/Valley. It's located uphill on the top, so going to see the town is walking distance downhill on the way, uphill on the way back.

Parador is located on a historic site practically part of the Castle next door so been told by the staff that there's always a chance for things not to function properly as they age and require to be fixed. Our room had a full size window that opens up to the view of the town/ Sierra, but the room AC had some malfunctions and the room was very warm, and we had to sleep with the window open. The hotel staff came a few times to try to fix it, and at end offer us to move to another room, but been so late at night and already our luggage content out, we discard such inconvenience.

Castle in stunning hilltop location. Staff very friendly. Hotel very stylish & room very nice and comfortable. Staff exceptionally helpful. Unable to unlock our room on arrival but maintenance man arrived in minutes and all was sorted. The young lady on reception helped us to rebook another another Parador before we left. We had a wonderful lunch on the veranda on arrival while watching storks coming and going all around, a snack in the evening and breakfast next day. All food was excellent.

The pool could have been open.

Beautiful property! The pool was clean and large with comfortable chairs and umbrellas. The breakfast was excellent with gorgeous views of the countryside and mountains(spectacular). The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The sheets were clean. The hallways and rooms had a majestic feel to them. It smelled like lavender outside!

The AC could have been a bit stronger; It would have been nice to have an iron/ironing board.

Beautiful building lovely swimming pool small walk into the village where there are shops and cafés. Our room had great views of the open countryside and mountains. The place had a lovely tranquil ambience, and hotel was easy to find also parking was plentiful.

Please paradors with 4 star hotels you should be providing tea/coffee either in the room or a coffee machine in a public area

Stunning building Interesting public rooms Good location

The room was rather small and no coffee maker I prefer a proper shower to a bath - in either case with hot not warm water My dinner was basically inedible - the toughest piece of venison I have ever been offered and a very small portion given the price The staff were correct but not welcoming (I speak fluent Spanish)

The setting of hotel in a rural area - to see true Spain. Very friendly staff. We also like the swimming pool which is unexpectedly open and enjoy particularly the view from all corners of the hotel. Despite some small things mentioned below we very much like the place. The food in restaurant is great too.

My husband opened the airco opening since it did work for strong enough for him (though for me) and find the inside quite dusty. The bed is on the smaller side but we did sleep well.

Parador nicely incorporated in an old and atmospheric castle, with marvellous views from the dining and leisure areas, as well as from the gardens and pool. Our decision to upgrade to junior suite well worthwhile. not just because of the space and comfort, but because the internal view over the keep didn’t include the car park, unlike the standard rooms! Excellent service and cuisine by sunset overlooking the plain and distant mountain range. Good breakfast buffet in the same setting

Breakfast was wonderful, the sweet buns were like eating clouds- so delicious and soft. The beautiful historic public rooms with comfy sofas. The photos with historical info .Watching the sunset from our luxurious room, listening to the birds in the morning and the horses walking by. The town is lovely and everyone we spoke with were very pleasant.

A room with a view. Nice setting. Friendly and professional staff.

Old TV in room, therefore not able to log on to Netflix etc. Air conditioning not effective enough. Secure parking not guaranteed when the parador is full. There is option to obtain just a cup of tea before 11.00a.m ( the dining room was available from 8.00 for breakfast, however, we did not want to have breakfast, just a warm drink).

The hotel forms part of the restored hill-top castle of Oropesa and is full of character and interest. It is easy to find from the motorway and has ample, secure car parking spaces in the courtyard. There is a wonderful pool and garden overlooked by the battlements and the restaurant was excellent. The special 'half-board' deal was very good value.
