This is a very comfortable and quiet 3* hotel (there was a wedding when I stayed but in the 1st floor rooms it was very quiet). It is very clean and functional although the hotel came a bit in its years but for a short stay it is absolutely great. The entire staff is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. I had a very good time there, I stayed 2 nights since I started my Camino from Ponferrada. Although the hotel is not in the city center (Ponferrada center is in walking distance) it was a great experience and as well the city center as the old town can be reached by walking. The only thing was the Wifi connection that is really slow and actually not fit for purpose but other than this everything was in perfect order.

Not a real issue, but if you need an Internet connection use your 5G connection from the phone since the wifi-connection is real slow.

Easy to find. Safe secure parking. Nice clean basic hotel supported by first class helpful staff. Evening meal was great value for money. Our thanks to Merce at reception for the assistance checking in and sorting out our parking. Additionally our thanks to Arancha who went above and beyond during the evening birthday meal for one of our colleagues. We travelled from Hotel Boa Vista in Porto to this hotel. Boa Vista could learn a lot from this hotel in relation to customer services and staff manners. Well done Ponferrada Plaza.

Good reasonable budget hotel which we used on a recent visit to watch our team play the local club. On the outskirts but a reasonable walk to both the new and old parts of the town. Modern basic hotel . Rooms clean and adequate with good buffet breakfast. Staff really friendly and helpful.

Nothing. We received what we would have expected.

The bed in this hotel was particularly comfortable. Full breakfast was available at additional charge. Free car parking is available in the hotel car park externally. Underground parking is also available at additional (€8/night) charge. The walk into central Ponferrada and to the magnificent (Knights Templar) castle takes about 15-20 minutes. The Old quarter where there are very pretty bars and restaurants is adjacent to the castle.

Perfect. Large, clean, comfortable, great shower and spa bath. Staff brilliant, location very good for the old town. Excellent buffet breakfast and secure motorcycle parking. All at a more than reasonable cost. The best hotel and room we have stayed in. P

Really nice hotel, staff were really friendly, our room wasn’t quite ready when we arrived (early) so let us in the bar for free drinks. Rooms were exceptionally large, ours had a jacuzzi bath! 20 min walk into town which had a festival on for the beautiful castle. Plenty of shops/garages close by, would use again!

It was fine, no need to change, served our needs

Great hotel a couple of minutes walk from the town centre, petrol station and supermarket market beside it. room was a decent size, breakfast was good also. I used this hotel as a stop over when traveling by motorcycle, they have a secure underground carpark.

air didn’t work which if it warmer would have been a problem

Comfortable room and ideally placed for walking into town. Friendly helpful staff. Allowed to park my motorbike directly outside reception with security cameras.

Restricted menu if you did not want the Brazilian style grill.

Very close to some major stores and huge supermarket ..nice helpful reception staff and nice young lady serving us in the hotel bar.

We were walking the Camino and so would have liked to be closer to the Camino route

My second stay at this hotel and just as good as the first time, really good location, staff extremely helpful and friendly, if and when I return to Ponferrada I will book this hotel

The WiFi could have been a little stronger in certain places of the hotel but I could still do what I need to do
