Ansares Hotel

The reception staff was amazing and extremely helpful. The hotel was outstanding, very clean and comfortable and I can certainly recommend the Ansares Hotel but only if you are up to speed with your technology.

The only facility to order room service was through an app on the TV. Now that may be ok for most but there should be alternative menu’s and ways to do things for the ageing population. I’m fairly internet savvy but I struggled to place the room service order and the lady from reception had to come to the room to check the order. We had a problem too with breakfast. we couldn’t get a seat in the ‘cafe’ due to many locals using it. there were no menu’s and the staff were too busy to serve us for some time. we eventually got a coffee and left. we loved the hotel but the food situation has put us off staying on the way back.

The hotel is new and extremely modern. Very comfy and a high level of fittings.

The restaurant attached was extremely expensive even the (gastro section) €15 for a burger!!! Breakfast was a disaster!!! No staff to direct people to where to go. There was a breakfast room where there was 10 people sitting eating breakfast. We stood and waited as is the norm. No staff so we went to the (gastro bar) which is attached to the hotel. An extremely flustered staff member said loudly you must come in here for breakfast not in there!!!!! So we did as told and sat and waited to be asked what we wanted. 10 minutes later another extremely flustered waitress virtually ran to our table and greeted us with digamee ( what do you want) we said a menu! She grabbed a menu slammed it down and left. We got up and left immediately. Appalling service.

All staff were friendly and professional. The food in the gastrobar was excellent. Our room was clean and a good size with quality fittings in the bedroom and bathroom. There was a busy road nearby but the glazing stop noise in our room. The pool area and gym were worth the extra money - 15€ per room per day. We had the place to ourselves most days!

The formal restaurant was closed but there was still an informal restaurant area in the gastrobar. Everything else was superb.

I’ve stayed here several times. Tarancón has little of interest (that I’ve found so far - I would gladly change this view if someone has any helpful information to share). But the Ansares is a lovely hotel but not fitting to the area (how does it survive apart from people like us who pass through on our way south to our homes?) - the staff are helpful, it has secure parking (and loads of free parking outside) and the inner courtyard is lovely. The shower is - well, powerful, which I like.

I wish it were possible to get food in the adjoining restaurant but it seems impossible every time I pass through. Is it just the Spanish eating hours or am I missing something?

very close to motorway when travelling to and from Ferry. reception staff very kind and helpful. we had a adapted room on the ground floor because of our mob this was very comfortable , the bathroom was fully adapted and met our needs. Internet ok and parking no problem .

we were a bit disappointed regarding our evening meal and restaurant , we were told that the restaurant would be open for the evening , but we had to eat in the cafe , Cafe the same applied to breakfast which was not in the place we were shown. however overall the food was of a good standard and served promptly, breakfast menus bit limited but acceptable.

Very clean and staff were very helpful on arrival. Room very spacious and comfortable. Excellent location for our trip from Santander to Murcia. Would highly recommend and would definitely book again.

Nothing - Everything was perfect....

Beautiful, comfortable hotel with lots of original features. Room size was huge but very very comfortable. Attractive bathroom with separate toilet. Garage bright and clean. Very convenient to motorways.

No tea or coffee making facility in room

There is nothing in Terancon, so its really just a place to stop over if you are travelling across Spain. The food was sadly quite mediocre. We booked in for dinner and ordered the speciality burgers. They came cooked on the outside but quite raw in ! We sent them back to be cooked through and they came back ok. But the fries onions and everything else was brought back cold 🥶 😩 The breakfast was also very basic and the eggs again were totally undercooked Why ?

Hotel is stunning and very clean, the room was spotless and the bed large and very comfortable. The shower was amazing. The bar/restaurant is excellent with good menu and choice of tapas. Staff are friendly and we would definitely revisit.

Unfortunately the town itself is very run down, we had a walk around to try and find somewhere to eat which proved difficult. We would definitely stay at the hotel again but would give the town a miss.

It looks very new and luxurious, everything is nicely decorated, it's a really nice hotel. The staff is amazing.

You have to pay every day to use the pool and wellness area. The restaurant is very expensive (good food, but very expensive), and they don't offer you any other solution, so you have to go out to an industrial estate to eat something else.
