The hotel has an incredible location above the city of Tortosa. Amazing views! The views are amazing from the hotel rooms too. The rooms are spacious and the bed comfortable. Overall the hotel has a traditional style which suits the castle, not super modern. The bathroom was a bit old but okay. We enjoyed a good breakfast in the morning.

We were here on a Sunday evening. The whole city was closed and not much to do for dinner in the city. Nevertheless beautiful buildings! Staff was very correct and well organised, yet a bit cold, not happy, smiling or talkative.

The breakfast was excellent, as was the dinner we enjoyed. The staff were uniformly pleasant and helpful. The pool was delicious, with a great view. We were so happy it was still open, as pools have been closed for the season already in other venues, such as Cuenca. The room was comfortable with a nice balcony to enjoy the view. No coffee service in the room however!

The location and history of the Parador were excellent, the view over Tortosa from the "battlements" was superb. Lovely dining room with a good choice. Staff were very friendly and helpful, but didn't quite get it right, see "What didn't you like"

The main course was very good. I said, in Spanish to make sure there could be no mistake, that I am allergic to cheese. However, despite that, my desert either contained, or had been contaminated by, cheese. Fortunately I keep a regular supply of Piriton but I did have a most uncomfortable few hours until they took effect. Spoilt mu overall impression of the stay.

The location is fantastic, on the hill next to the castle, overlooking the entire town. A lot of history around this place. Beautiful view, even from the balcony. Many parking places around. The room size was large, so was the bathroom. Bed was a bit hard, but can't complain. The pool area seemed nice, but we arrived late in the evening and in the morning we opted to visit the town, so we skipped it.

It's a bit pricey overall, the price to quality ratio doesn't seem fair. Breakfast for €19 / person (so €38 per room) is way too expensive for Spain. Isolation is poor, especially in the hallways. Also the balcony and furniture are a bit dated - and not in a "historical" way.

The environment of being in a castle was incredible, workers were all fine, food was delicious, rooms were comfortable, bathroom was big and very modern. The swimming pool was big and clean. Landscape was pintoresc .

The breakfast was good the first day but the second one they were missing some things we had to ask them back. Even so they were missing some things we didn't ask them back

This is one of the best Paradors of the four I have stayed at so far. The staff in particular were very helpful and friendly and the restaurant was excellent. The room had a lovely view with balcony and was well appointed with crisp linen.

The only negative would be that it more than a short walk away from the town but that's what you expect when you are high about the town overlooking the River Ebro.

The hotel in a castle is extremely well maintained and looks gorgeous. Hotel service and restaurant waitresses are super helpful and polite. Rooms are furnished in an old style fashion giving it a nice atmosphere to the overall feeling of the hotel.

We find the mattresses extremely hard and uncomfortable resulting in bad sleep and back pain for me and my girlfriend.

The location is beautiful. There are expansive views of Tortosa and surrounding valleys. The hotel is very pleasant, clean and well maintained. The food at the restaurant was very good.

Did not like breakfast. There was hardly a thing for a vegan to have for breakfast. Not enough fruit or veggies. A very small offering in fact from such a lovely property, quite a shame. No kettle in the room for tea.

The Parador is located on a mountain with perfect vieuws over the city Tortosa and river Ebro. Private parking, signs for Parador start only in city center Tortosa but after that quite easy access, with a steep road uphill to Parador. Rooms are authentic Spanish style , as well as restaurants and public spaces renovated atmosphere of 14th century castle. Airco present in rooms and public places. Swimmingpool (25x10m) is very nice with supervision and towel service, seats avaliable. Parador restaurant located in Grand Hall for a romantic evening. Menu avaliable (local specialities) service inpacable everywhere.

Rooms on 1st floor have limited views (walls or parking lot) 3th floor has the best views, elevator to second floor only after that a long corridor and stairs (not recommended for people with limited walking capacity). Beds are good but hard matrasses.

The dominant position above the city is marvellous and gives a 360 view. Rooms are clean and quiet (!). Personnel very friendly. Parking is up on the hill also, i.e. close by and free. Excellent value for money.

Hard to say anything negative, sorry. Perhaps: the restaurant does not fully meet the standards set by everything else. Food is good, service friendly, just the atmosphere doesn't convince.
