Hotel Don Juan Boutique

perfect location for both business and leisure trips, close to the old city, next to an underground parking with a reasonable fee( 14 euro/24h), nice bars and restaurants at short distance. Very pleasant staff, willing to meet all your needs. Spacious room, excellent bed and pillows( both soft and stiffer ones, for your choice) . Clean, even for a 2 days stay they changed the bed sheets! Very attentive to all details .

for all the nice things they offer the quality of the towels should be 4 starts ,too ( they were clean but a bit grey and stiff , would rate them 3 stars )

friendly staff, very central location, good size room and we had our own outside terrace which was lovely! Beautiful decor throughout the hotel including our room.

The breakfast was good but served to your table, exactly the same each day so got a bit "samey" after 5 days! You have to ask if you want jam and butter as not given otherwise even though you get croissants and toast! Swimming pool is too small - 2 people and it's full which was a shame as one reason I booked it was for the pool, knowing it was going to be hot weather

Really lovely friendly staff who went out of their way to ensure you enjoyed your stay. Very large, beautifully decorated room that was was quiet with lovely courtyard view and comfortable bed. Fantastic central location on quiet street within easy walking distance of historic sites. We have to say a big 10 out of 10 for the breakfast, it was superb and beautifully presented,very well balanced in portion size and a very good range of local produce, without the waste that buffet style breakfasts entail! Other hotels would do well to learn from the example set by this hotel:)

A small hotel in a beautifully renovated, grand period property, with an inner courtyard, now covered. Extremely well located, near the old town and main street. The boutique element is very evident, eye catching and sometimes quirky. Our room had a very large bed, separate bathroom (sometimes missing in boutique hotels!), a smart TV and a fridge with courtesy drinks. Staff were very friendly and helpful, while the served breakfast enabled one to try many local specialities and a great range of teas served hot in ceramic teapots (meets British expectations!). Rooms were warm in a cold spell.

Quirky in this case meant no mirror, except in the bathroom, for example.

The hotel was in a great location. It was good value for money. The room was lovely with excellent queen size bed. There was also a little patio area. Good showers with separate toilet. The breakfast was excellent and even thought we didn’t speak Spanish, my favorite person was the lady who helped give out breakfast. She was the best. The pool upstairs was more like a plunge pool and was perfect for the hot weather.

Our only complaint was the internet did not work in room no 4.

The hotel is situated in the centre of Ubeda in a quiet street near to the shopping area and all the historical sites. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was served at the table rather than buffet style however there was a good selection and plenty of variety. The hotel was perfect for our stay and we were able to pay to park in a secure underground car park nearby.

We liked everything about this hotel and were very happy with our stay.

Don Juan Boutique hotel was simply shining. everything looked like it was just new, yet it was a renaissance palace. I totally agree with the other reviewer about the breakfast, it is excellent and served by a lovely staff. they do not have much English but somehow all requirements were given.

This is not a dislike, just advice. If you are in any way unsure on stairs do not choose a Duplex Room. There are other lovely rooms, the superior double (room 4) is especially lovely.

Staff was very welcoming and accommodating to all our needs. The cost per night was inexpensive for such a nice hotel. Bed was very comfortable and the room was super clean. the location of the hotel is central and close to all. Felt very safe during our stay. love the big screen tv too.

Room was a bit cold even though I had the heat running for a long time. No heat in bathroom, so it was cold when I got out of shower. One of the floor boards in the room was very loud when stepped on. The person in the room above us was wearing high heels so we heard them walking very loud over our bed, but it was only for 15 minutes.

The breakfast was excellent, the service for breakfast was very friendly. The bed was very comfortable, the lighting was correct. The location was incredible. they called us ahead to tell us about the public parking on the square- which in fact was very reasonably priced

The soap dispenser in the shower was broken, could not use it. Could not call reception as we did not know which was the number to call and nobody answered the telephone when calling from my cell phone. We needed instructions on how to use the heat, some written instructions could have helped.

The hotel is located in a historical palace in the city centre of Ubeda, excellent location, walking distance to all attractions. There is a public parking nearby. The rooms are modern and well equipped. Very good ratio quality/price.

The heating is inverted air conditioning, always difficult to manage having a comfortable temperature, we put it too high and it was too hot, it was our fault, but this type of heating is always a nightmare to manage.
