Everything about Mas Tinell was perfect. I appreciate that the grounds were slightly away from town, and quiet. Our room overlooked the vineyard and it was gorgeous. The staff was extremely accommodating to every need of ours and they were incredibly friendly. Because we didn’t speak much Spanish and zero Catalán, they went out of their way to speak English to us, which was much appreciated. The food in El Rima was outstanding as well - we ate dinner there for both nights of our stay because it was so delicious. Also worth mentioning, their wines are phenomenal. We will return again and will stay for a longer period of time.

The staff especially the kitchen chefs and waiters and how it was very important to them that we enjoyed our stay and accommodated our dietary needs. Maria Torres at the front desk went out of her way to make sure we had what we needed. The room we stayed in was the jacuzzi room which is the best room in this hotel and we were so happy we reserved this room. There were a flight of steps that led down to the dinning area just outside of our room so we didn't need to go down to the end of the hall to get an elevator.

That we had to leave

Good quiet private location. Very clean and well presented. Staff we’re very friendly and helpful. Especially Javi in the restaurant and Estella at reception.

Two steps in the rooms which proved very difficult to navigate at night especially for my 85 year old Mum in the next door room. Air conditioning seemed a little unwieldy and difficult to control with ease. Keycards kept zoning out and required reprogramming. Rectified immediately once back at reception.

all was great! wonderful rooms, stunning design, tasty restaurant, EV chargers we will be definitely back

several points to improve: - we found bicycle rent overpriced - minimum rental time of 4 hours is too long as minimal rental time. We made a huge tour through vineyards and center of the town and where back in 55 minutes.. also not comfortable to pay for bikes in cash only - we had a room with a view to the vineyard, every night at 11-12-01 some of the employees where living through a technical door outside, talking loudly and what’s worst smoking. Whole smoke gets upstairs - so to sleep with an open window was not possible. Had to ask them twice to leave..

Sorry for the long review, but sometimes an experience merritts it. We (a party of three) stayed at this 5-star hotel for 2 nights. On arrival you cannot miss the peculiar shape of it all. But probably you chose the hotel because of this oddity: stacked bottles of cava with huge round windows that symbolize the bubbles (with views of the surrounding vineyards). We were greeted by an enthusiastic and welcoming receptionist. That, by the way, is something that struck us all during our stay: staff is very proud to work at this hotel, from the cleaning ladies to the head chef to the guide of the wine cellars. All happy to serve guests to the best of their abilities and they all speak english! They must have a nice employer to inspire this kind of innkeeping… To start with the restaurant (‘En Rima’). They have a relatively new head chef who comes from other hallowed grounds. We chose the 8 course menu gastronomique with paired wines (their own brand, of course). This is what one calls fine dining! Superb, surprising and delicious. Beautifully presented with explanations for every course and wine and luckily - for us - in english. The following night he (the chef) repeated the whole thing with 8 different (!) dishes. Some feat! If you are around, make a detour to this place. The restaurant doesn’t only cater to hotel guests. It is well worth the experience! But book in advance. The same applies to breakfast. No buffet, but everything made to order. Eggs every way you like, juices, pastries and all the other trimmings. We also took a tour of the winery. The guides are bilingual and knowledgeable. That, in itself, is not surprising. It is, after all, a winery, but to make laymen understand the ins and outs of wine(cava)making in a foreign tongue is impressive. And he told us that he was just filling in for the official guide who was ill… The swimming pool is small but cosy with fantastically comfy beds. Ring a bell and they staff are at your beck and call.

The weather. Too hot.

The hotel is situated in a cava vineyard and they work the vines surrounding the hotel. The rooms are named after grape varietals. The room was lovely and well appointed with a lovely view of the countryside. there is a staircase that leads directly into the restaurant where we had a lovely, very reasonable dinner and amazing breakfasts (which were included in the room price). The pool is small, surrounded by grass, and there’s not much shade, but it was a great spot to cool off after traveling. We were offered a glass of cava when we got there while they finished the registration process. We didn’t do a tasting at the hotel, but I think it would be easy to set up. The hotel is close to the city of Vilafranca as well as surrounding towns. It was about a ten minute drive to many other cava houses. This was truly a magical stay, so if you get the chance, go!

The acoustics were awful. You could hear everything that was going on in the bathroom from the bed! And the shower/bathtub area only has a smoked glass door so there’s really no privacy. It looks lovely but felt voyeuristic.

The room was visually stunning from the start and never stopped impressing with the architecture, view of the vineyard, and furnishings. The soaking tub was a very welcome sight after a long, long day, as was the Cava and petits fours that awaited me after one of the best dinners I've had in a long time. Breakfast continued in the same imaginative way as dinner, and the gorgeous dining room was a tranquil place to start the day.

I wouldn't change a thing. Maybe I got a little lost on occasion between my room and the dining room, and the bedside lighting controls weren't the easiest to use, but that's on me.

The property was beautiful & brought a sense of harmony. The staff was kind, caring and very generous with time & attention. Both Nuria and Josep were generous with attention to our family. The Restaraunt was phenomenal, the food farm to table, very healthy!

we loved everything

The staff was lovely although they could be more fluent in languages other than Spanish/Catalan. Lovely location and the food was AMAZING.

The bed was a bit too hard for us but very comfy and the pool was a bit dirty of dead wasps everywhere, but I guess is what you pay for being in vineyards.

Not only is the hotel totally unique in its design, the staff are what made this a truly unique experience. We were treated like VIPs from the moment we walked through the door until we checked out. 5 star service!
