Absolutely fantastic location and easy to access by car. Great guy on desk gave us 3 parking options and we chose the parking meter just beside the hotel. €2.10 every 3 hours bit the weekend was completely free so a win win situation for me. The pool and attendant were a mist for me and really nice to get in a mile or so in the pool in the afternoon followed by a bit of sun. Hotel bar was nice on the evening prior to going out. We opted to go to local cafes especially the theatre cafe in the morning for breakfast. Absolutely loved Zamora

The room was fabulous overlooking the pool area but the floor made an absolute racket when you walked on it and I kept waking my wife up and vice versa. The absence of tea or coffee making facilities don't make this a 4 star in my opinion.

We stayed in a junior suite overlooking the lovely square in the old part of the Parador. Wonderful and spacious corner suite with beautiful rooms with period furniture. Comfortable beds. Lovely marble bathroom. Sitting room with comfortable sofa and armchairs. Very good tea and coffee facilities. Very friendly reception especially the elderly gentlemen who took time to give us very useful information about wonderful Zamora. The palace, which locates the hotel is very impressive with beautiful courtyard.

Nothing.

Location in heart of historic medieval town couldn't be better!. Room was large with generous sized bathroom, imaginatively created out of a 16th century building with beautiful courtyard. Staff kind and helpful, desk staff spoke good English, most others had some English and tolerated our attempts to communicate in tourist Spanish. Large pool is a delight in hot weather.

Paradors seem not to provide kettle in the room and you have book for (quite expensive) breakfast in advance. Eating out options in this small town turned out to be more limited than expected, so decisions have to be made in advance. On first arrival by car it took us several attempts to reach the Parador through narrow streets not very well signposted, though once there it was fine to unload and there is a good underground carpark nearby at half the price of the hotel's (as they helpfully told us).

The Parador de Zamora is a beautiful old building, with its rooms built around a majestic old courtyard. Its interior is equally aged, but it has clearly been lovingly maintained, with everthing you would expect in a modern hotel. The staff matched the hotel, in quality if not age. It is supurbly located and is a real find

Wonderful hotel in the center of historic Zamora where heavy doors, wooden window frames and squeaky floors keep you in touch with history of the place. To be sure, there are more modern paradors throughout Spain but this one feels very authentic and has a lot of character. All modern essentials such as safe, TV, modern bathroom or comfortable beds are provided. There is a gourmet restaurant serving all meals on premises as well as helpful, English-speaking young staff. Big outdoor swimming pool was still closed at the end of April but will certainly be a plus during hot summer months.

Hotel garage is very small: relatively few and tight spaces. Bigger cars may not fit. Staff will do their best to guide you into an available space. Not that many options on nearby squares and streets either but this may depend on time of arrival and day of week. Try to check in early.

Great selection of food at breakfast, fresh orange juice. Coffee could have been better. Location of parador is perfect, Zamora is a gem of a town. The bedroom was very comfy - lovely sheets, huge bed.

The coffee at breakfast. Noisy children's party being held in the central courtyard when we arrived. You had to stand in the bath to have a shower.

It's not every day that you get to stay in a renaissance palace. Also, the view with storks nesting on a church belfry. The restaurant has some delicious local specials for dinner and breakfrast was very good.

The wooden plank floors squeak relentlenssly and the walls are a bit too thin. See the point about it being a palace above.

Staff on the Front Desk were brilliant. Helping with parking the car, in what was a very small garage. On one of the mornings I had to leave very early (to go to a photo session with eagles, and the staff were very helpful with my early start.

Not enough staff in the Restaurant.

Beautiful building, lots of atmosphere, bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and beautifully furnished.

Food availability was restrictive, particularly for people travelling long distances and arriving at awkward hours.

The beautiful old building in a very pretty part of the city. The rooms were large and the bed was very cosy.

The room smelled slightly of drains. The meal in the restaurant, local menu, was not very nice at all and the restaurant staff were dour and a bit pushy.
