Very nice Beach, good swimming and walking. Not many people arround. Room was nice and OK with all you need. AC and Fan very good and important. If Shower/Shampo/Hairdryer is needed ask for it. Breakfast is very, very good and you can eat as much as you like, also excellent service. Staff is fantastic and takes care of you all the time. The food (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) is just great and fantastic. We enjoyed it very much. Thank you. You can ask for Beachtowels, they will give them to you for free.

In the Bathroom is only Soap available and no Hairdryer. Would be nice to have more sunbeds and Umbrellars against the sun.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

A wonderful homely stay for 4 nights, it is certainly located in Paradise! Immaculately clean throughout, room and all public areas, staff constantly ensuring standards throughout the day. The local breakfast is awesome, quality and quantity, the Western style is basic but of a high standard. Food for lunch and dinner was so good we had no desire to try anywhere else. Late afternoon a display of fresh fish, crabs, prawns and lobster is put on display for you to choose what you want, we tried everything in 4 days, cooked to perfection and very reasonably priced. On our last night the restaurant was full so Janu arranged our own table literally at the waters edge, and entertained us with drinks and his company after our meal. A very proud man and rightly so of the business he has established, and with a lot of repeat western customers speaks volumes for how good it is.

A slight issue with road noise in the room during the day, but you don't come here to sit in your room! Night time is no problem, there is no road noise at the beach, but this is an issue with a lot of resorts throughout the country.

Accommodation was good. The staff was helpful and pleasant. Nice beach with big waves. Unfortunately, it was not a good choice of location for swimming at this time. Excellent and tasty food! The service in the restaurant is pleasant and the chef cooks excellently!

During the storm, water ran into our room, but the staff responded and mopped up the water. Breakfast could have been more varied - eggs three ways every day. There was a black flag for swimming at the time of our stay.

-Very quiet and peaceful. Other guests were quiet, too. This place isn't for those who want to party. -Right on a very clean beach. Liked it better than Bentota Beach. -Great breakfast. We stayed for 13 nights and ate Sri Lankan breakfast every day. -We loved their soup--they were all good, but the bacon one was the best.

Sometimes housekeeper didn't replace floor mats and toiletry stuff or leave toilet paper, while we had our room cleaned every two days instead of every other day (which is their standard practice)

I had a lovely new year celebrating in janus paradise rest. Janus was a great host, the location fab. I didn't venture away from the hotel for my 4 days. The rooms were comfortable, the prices fair, staff pleasant and food nice. I shared some good company and fab sunsets. Which was pretty much what I was looking for. The pool was pleasant in the Sri lankan heat. The ocean in Bentota is rough, not easy for casual swimming, but refreshing, and the beach clean and quiet. Thanks Janus

A wee gem of a place, lovely staff which are there to help, food and variety was brilliant, rooms are as described, janus is a very helpfull guy and the whole place is very family orientated all with a very nice pool. People from the classier units nxt door were comming for their meals....what can you say!

The best place we have visited in Sri Lanka. The ideal location is only 8 rooms - the ocean is 20 meters away. We lived in different rooms at Janus hotel (the best one is a family room) - a separate house. The best beach, the best view!)) The best food on the coast - grilled tuna - I have never tasted better in my life. Seafood is all great and fresh. Milkshakes are my son's love, he appreciated it) breakfasts are also very good! And the most important thing is the people - everyone who works in hotels - they just made our stay perfect - Janus himself, his brother Jeewana, all the employees of the hotel - thank you so much!! They always tried to help - everything was just perfect! We will definitely come back! In our last dinner near the ocean, a small miracle happened - baby turtles hatched from a clutch of eggs laid by turtle near the Janus hotel on the shore!)) it's incredible to let the babies go into the ocean)

The staff was courteous and hospitable. Everything was maintained really clean. The location was perfect and so close to the beach. Their Srilankan breakfast is a huge spread. They went out of their way to bring in my friends birthday by keeping cake ready beyond restaurant hours and even gave us birthday drink to celebrate. Thank you to the owner and the staff that really made their guests stay memorable at Sri Lanka.
