Mount Blue Kandy

We had a great stay and received a very warm welcome upon arrival. Incredible panoramic views from the bathtub and the shower and balcony views were also amazing. The pool was great, although it would be handy to have a bit more seating/a few more beds. We found you had to tuktuk into town - which isn't a problem, just something to be aware of.

We felt this property was quite expensive, compared to some of the other places we stayed in Sri Lanka in terms of cost versus quality/facilities. We had lots of ants in our room that had come through a gap between the door and door frame. Obviously just one of those things that can't be helped, but we did speak to reception to ask if they had anything to get rid of them - insect repellent or similar. A young chap came up and brushed the ants away with a towel but there was obviously still a trail coming in. Fortunately we found the last of some citronella oil in our bag, so we were able to spray this around the door frame and this stopped any more coming in.

The rooms were clean, comfortable and safe. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. My husband and I stayed for 25 nights (long trip) while we volunteered at a nearby orphanage and the staff never failed to make sure we had every we needed. Would definitely be back. And you can't beat the view anywhere.

The road getting up to the hotel is very steep and nnarrow. Not the hotels fault but not my favorite thing.

Special thank you to Shehan from the reception - he advised us on the transfer from airport, local tuk-tuks, attractions around etc Breakfasts and dinners were amazing and great value for money! We travelled it times of crisis - June 2022, however stuff is doing everything for you to not feel this at all - always hot water, Internet and electricity was gone for 2 hours only - so you can plan your day and go out for a walk at this time. THE BEST HOTEL IN KANDY!

Very nice and new hotel with one of the best views in Sri Lanka. We liked particularly the kindness of its staff, the infinity pool and the balcony in the room. The breakfast was also great and varied! I would definitely stay there again if I come to Kandy.

It’s a bit challenging to reach the hotel up the hill, and it’s a bit isolated from the city. However, for us this was not a problem since the location allowed one of the most impressive landscape views in Sri Lanka. Really worth the steady roads up the hill!

Location was beyond the expectations. One of the best views you can expect in Kandy. Always recommend the view from suits. Foods and facilities are exceptional.

Absolutely nothing. But remember they do not have Liquor in house, better to bring your own supply ;)

The view from our room (and the pool area) was spectacular - and the floor to ceiling windows really allow you to appreciate it fully. The hotel is situated in the hills, looking away from Kandy city, so is nice and quiet. Very friendly staff at reception.

Not so much a dislike, more something to be aware of - the road to the hotel is very narrow and climbs up into the hills, so may cause some hair-raising encounters with tuk-tuks coming the other way.

Had a pleasant stay, compliments to the friendly and helpful staffs. Cared for from arrival to departure. The hotel hosts an amazing view of the valleys and river bed of Kandy's main river. And which drew my attention to it. I also appreciated the room layout with chairs on the balcony to help with soaking in the captivating view!

The pool is a nice touch to hotel grounds but unfortunately was not in its cleaneiest shape. The tiling should be routinely deep cleaned.

Property was far from the noise and the balcony was breathtaking , view of hills and river with the infinity pool was additional Staff were very friendly and always smiled. Anyone looking to stay 15 mins away from kandy city book this hotel. You will thank me later .

We enjoyed the view and the swimming pool a lot, it was amazing! The service was also good!

On our first night, we had dinner in the restaurant. They had spaghetti bolognese and macaroni on the menu. We wouldnt recommend this, is was very bad. We were honest about it and ordered something Sri Lankan instead, which was very tasty. After discussing we didnt have to pay for the pasta.

First of all, the view is absolutely stunning! This is something that will never get bored. The room looks modern, is equipped with AC and beds are comfy. Moreover, the staff is very helpful and always tries to help. Breakfast was delicious!

Unfortunately it’s quite far from the centre and the road is very steep and bumpy, so even with a tuk tuk it’s an adventure! What I also didn’t like was dinner - the food was under average and desserts were not tasty at all. So I rather recommend booking the room with breakfast only, it was really good. And one last issue - it takes very long time until you get the dish in the restaurant, so even served breakfast took minimum 1 hour. This should be improved.
