Ann and her husband are so welcoming and friendly, and have such a lovely property - breakfast was a treat, and we enjoyed our conversation. This is a lovely alternative and welcome change to hotel accommodation, so peaceful and such a beautiful setting. We highly recommend a stay at the Old Hen House.

The hosts were exceptional. The location is very quiet, down a dirt track. The room kept cool due to being partly underground. We had access to outdoor tables and a common room with TV, which made the room seem much larger. The breakfast was very good with fresh-baked rolls -- and the dinner was superb.
Sharing a bathroom is always a bit pot-luck. You need a car and you need to be happy around animals (cats, dog, cows).

We were met by owner. She have shown a room and take order for dinner and breakfast. Meal was very good - real meat sausages of wild animals, and breakfast was serviced with fresh bread.

The location is great for walks and if you like being surrounded by nature. The breakfast is great and Ann and Gerth are very kind and caring owners.
Everything was very nice. Only the Wifi was not working perfectly well, but that is probably due to the fact that the property is in the countryside.

Comfortable beds and very clean. Pet friendly and nice surroundings. Excellent breakfast with homemade warm bread, home made marmalade, smoked sausage and meat. Very nice owner who communicated fast when where a bit late checking in. We felt very welcomed.
