Mercure Biel

Very kind and helpful staff, coffee machine in the Reception area (free of charge) and very good breakfast. My single room was nicely decorated and very comfortable and functional with all the necessary facilities, although a bit dark, as the window was a bit small. The hotel is located close to the shopping area and the old town of Biel.

Nothing really. Maybe on a bit expensive side but it is Switzerland.

Modern and functional, good window soundproofing, close to the commercial area and the old town, within easy reach of station (several bus lines nearby). Front desk was kind enough to let me have a room early (with an upgrade) to store my things while I went hiking in the hills.

I chose this hotel for the airconditioning, given the heat outside. It was more of a centralised ventilation system, it certainly never brought the temperature to the set level. It was better than nothing though and I still managed to sleep comfortably enough.

The property is ideally located. It’s about a 15 minute walk from the train station. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the many shops and stores in the old town. The staff are very friendly and efficient. I stayed 3 times within a 3 week span of time and was able to check in early on all occasions. The rooms are clean, a good size, and well appointed. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was well located. They offered us to keep our bike in the conference room which was not used at the time of our stay. Every where in public area of hotel they provided hand disinfectant. Personal were wearing mask and follow the rules. The hotel had a restaurant but we couldn’t eat dinner as they only accept limited number of guests for dinning inside due to Corona regulations. The hotel has a small Sauna but it was perfect for us, only 2 person at a time could use it with pre booking. The room was great we had a lovely view of mountains, but no Balcony. The breakfast was very good, only one day was very crowded and they were under staff, but overall we liked the breakfast. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely go back there.

Everything was great, one suggestion for the time of pandemic to ask guests to book their time of breakfast to avoid crowded time.

Staff very friendly and multilingual. Breakfast was best Ive had on the continent and was consistently delicious. Very near platz so easy walk to all the cafes and shops. And they had two elevators which is a rare luxury!

no parking available and nearest paid garage was at least 7 minute walk away. Weather was perfect so it didnt matter as much but if it was a rainy week then yikes! Road seemed to be under constant construction, but that isnt the hotels fault.

I stay frequently in Biel. My stay at the Mercure was as good as always. A nice surprise was the new and bigger breakfast Buffet. Overall a very recommendable place.

Staff were so knowledgeable and helpful. The electric bike hire was fabulous and the routes recommended were superb.

The pillows, could have been more of them and could have been a bit more comfortable. Also the air conditioning didn't seem to work very well and the room was very warm.

Very clean and newly arranged. The hotel is very close to premium restaurants, most interesting places (including OMEGA museum) are in walking distance. Very friendly staff, very nice breakfast.

The city of Bienne is very beautiful. The hotel is situated in the old town and it's in close proximity to the main attractions. It's very clean and the sauna and fitness room are nice. Breakfast was also very nice. Eco friendly touches are always a good thing.

It was overall good, if there's something to say here is that the sofa bed was not comfortable, other than that everything was good

The lobby is change to a new look. Modern. The staff is very nice!!

The room cleaning was odd. One garbage bin is cleaned and the other was not. Still  garbage inside.
