Royal Group Hotel Xiong Zhong Branch

I like the location, train station walk 5 mins, bus stop in front of the hotel . all day free drinks , buns , popcorn and ice cream . free laundry all day . Very nice breakfast, lots of veggies and fruits and eggs and meat , rice , bread and congee . the lounge area is 24 hours , before I get the room I can charge my phone . the room is very nice , my room has no window but I am ok with that , the bathroom is nice and big . seems the hotel is newly renovated? when I come back to kaoshuing I will choose these hotel again . they even prepare a nice recycle bag , I use it do the laundry and you can bring home too .

Great location on main road, close to bus station with new rooms and modern facilities, delicious simple buffet breakfast and free drinks/chilled juices/ fresh coffee maker, ice cream + snack at ground floor lobby for all day/night is a good plus, they also have a loundry room for guests. 7-Eleven and Subway are 3-5 m. from the door step and a short walk from Kaohsiung main station, very easy when you ride MTR from/to the airport. Rooms were not big but provided a comfortable space and a good bed/ mattresses with small fridge, flat screen tv with HDMI port, coffee/milk tea sets and clean bathroom. Free wifi made you feel good for digital life in the hotel.

The only little thing is the powerful water pressure, good for bathing but be careful for your bottom!

The hotel is very close to the train station. Five minutes walking. The room they gave me was very nice, all renovated, with a window with an open view, very bright. It has a TV, desk, refrigerator, electric kettle, and safe. Everything is very good and renovated. Breakfast has everything, fruits, coffee, bread and many foods. Also, you can always have free coffee and juices, free bread, ice cream and popcorn, and, of course, you have drinking water available. The place is really highly recommended. If you like walking, it's a 25 minute walk to Live River. Super convenient. I would return, I liked it a lot.

Near Kaohsiung TRA and mrt station

The receptionists we met during our 4N stay were cold, impatient and unfriendly. No one staff smiled to their guests (both local and foreigners). They just stood behind the counter and talked among themselves 👎🏻 Chambermaids were friendly and greeted us when we met them at the corridor. Limited food options for breakfast and food replenishment was slow as there was only 1 staff assigned to the restaurant. Light snacks (mantou and popcorn) available for supper. We stayed in room 701 (quad room) which was relatively small for 4 pax, hardly any space to walk if you open up 2 luggages. We used to stay in this building under Kindness hotel. We prefer the service of Kindness hotel over Royal group.

The breakfast was had a very good spread. Fresh fruits, dim sum, cooked dishes like vege, beef, pork, bread, milk, tea, coffee and even ice cream. We felt that was good value for money. The room was relatively small, but very cosy, we felt very comfortable. The bathroom was well spaced. The cleaners did a good job, they saw we were drying some clothes, and the next time we got back to the rooms, there were hangers ( no closet), tucked away at the right places. They organized the space very well.

Located near train station. Only a short walk away. Around 400 meters, but because of construction so uneven passage.

The counter staffs were friendly and helpful, except an older lady. During check in on 8th April 2024, she is rude and grouchy. Since we are unable to go to our rooms as it before 3 pm., we hand over our luggages but she did not gave us anything to show that we hand over our luggages and yet she insisted that she did. Later we went back to her then she realised she did not gave us. Not a word of sorry. Very rude lady.😈

Everything was great, comfortable room and bed. Clean and well arranged bathroom. Good and varied breakfast. I loved the free snacks and drinks offered outside of breakfast hours. Self-service loundry was really convinient. Good location in walking distance to Khaosiung Main Station and Liuhe Night Market.

I didn't like that there was no windows in the room but this seems to be a standard in Taiwan hotels. Aircon was pumping cigarette smoke in the room when people staying next doors were smoking.

Clean, quiet rooms, good air conditioning (for May, around 30C) Very close to Kaohsiung Train Station(not HSR) & MRT to see around the city (5~10 min. walk), 7/11 convenience store right next door, within walking distance to Liuhe night market Hearty breakfast, has variety of menus and drinks Good room cleaning service (need to tell front first the night before or the morning of) Can leave bags after checkout, number tags attached to bags for identification Although I didn't borrow it, does offer free(I think at least) bicycle borrowing service in exchange for passport

I did choose the smallest room (cheaper), so can't really complain about the room size being small, but not much movable room other than bed Front staff doesn't really speak English, but could manage with broken English I don't think the breakfast menu changes, so a bit repetitive Not the hotel's fault, but a few homeless people on the way to and from the train station(if you don't mind them, they won't mind you)

Everything mostly clean. Complimentary breakfast. Complimentary washing/drying machines. Great size room (the second room). Amenities-had everything we needed for our stay (including a shoehorn)

First room kind of small, but livable (we had two separate stays). Some things not quite clean (hair in the bed). Although it was a nice modern hotel, it still had some quality issues with fit and finish (wallpaper looked poorly installed in a few places. Certain areas roughly done).

Staff were amazing! Very kind and polite. Breakfast was seriously tasty, a lot of local options, and for some reason there's popcorn and ice cream as well. The room was lovely. Albeit small, it had all the amenities you could ever need, and then some. Price was more than ok as well.

There are 5 hotels with the same name owned by the same person all looking almost identical from the outside in a 2 mile radius. Not sure what's going on and how that makes any sense, but it's none of my business. Just try not to go to the wrong one like I did, because it was on my way and I simply thought the location is pinned wrong. Turns out it's a whole other hotel just 2 minutes away.
