Ehome Hotel

This is by far the best view ever I have experienced: In my room the window faces a full view of a bending small stream meandering in front of me with the large park beside. The breakfast is very good for a 3-star hotel. The staffs are helpful. Very comfortable, clean and new. Highly recommended.

The pillow is too hard for me and I am forced to use a folded blanket for a substitute. The parking lots are limited (luckily I got one). No dinner (but there are many restaurants nearby in the walking distance)

Prefer single bed instead of double bed.

Bed too hard, too close to the wall, hard to get out. No English sign posting, no three prong outlets. Slow internet.

The room and bathroom are reasonably sized. The breakfast is alright and there is a variety of food. Some staff are friendly and helpful.

Mould on the wall and unpleasant smell inside the room. The window couldn’t be opened. I reported the unpleasant smell to the staff. The staff said the smell is caused by the afternoon sun and that the window cannot be opened. We couldn’t sleep well and breathed the mould smell the whole night. Later I found mould stains on several areas of the wall. They should unlock the windows and remove the mould.

The information from hotel staff about transportation from Taipei city to the hotel wasn't clear enough. They didn't specify that we should take bus No. 1816 from "TAIPEI STATION BUS TERMINAL" to the nearest bus stop to the hotel, otherwise the bus could be full and the bus pass at other bus stops. We waited the bus at near by our hotel which No.1816 bus suppose to stop. 4 buses passed and we waited more than 1.5 hours. We didn't know the bus will drive on high way, and all the passenger need to be seated. (Actually one bus stopped at the bus stop where we were waiting, but 2 other passenger got on, then the bus driver refused to take us. I had to get off the bus and I fell off, and hit my knee. I know it is nothing to do with the hotel, but it wouldn't have happened if we went to the "TAIPEI STATION BUS TERMINAL".) We ended up calling Uber and costed US$30 (Bus costs US$ 4.56 for 2 people, so it was almost 6.5 times more expensive than taking a bus.) Taoyuan city is quite big, so this hotel isn't very close to the airport. There is no station or bus to the airport. It costs US$20-22 by taxi to the airport in the early morning. The hotel itself is nice, so if you stay this hotel, you should check how to and how much it cost to get to the hotel, and get to the airport from the hotel.
