Colosseum Boutique Hotel & Spa

The staff was very kind and accommodating of my many requests. In particular I appreciated that they were always available to help me find a taxi service, and my local colleague confirmed that their taxi connections were very affordable. I also really liked being able to access the gym. The breakfast was excellent and always had high-quality fruit - which I would expect but do not always receive in similar climates.

I did not like the design of the room very well - especially the bathroom layout. Mirrors and lights were clearly not planned for women who desire to apply makeup, and the location of the wardrobe was a bit awkward. The room still served all my needs and was perfectly functional, but it was not "top".

I had a wonderful stay at the Colosseum. It was my second time staying here so I knew what to expect. Even though my stay was 6 months ago, even ther personal remembered my face and gave me a warm welcome. I arrived at my hotel a bit earlier than planned and I was even able to checkin earlier without paying extra. If you like to do sports like me, you have a nice gym at the hotel and you can also go running along the ocean jist 1km away from the hotel.

Very nice gym, good staff, good breakfast. In general my favorite option to stay in this area.

They closed the restaurant one evening for private celebrations when I wanted to eat there with a friend. But only one evening. On a multi day stay, they took advantage of "on demand pricing" and increased my rate. I had only booked the first night. But of course it is their right to increase room price when I dont lock in my price by booking the full stay beforehand. The pool is being renovated and was not usable.

Great stay, got an upgrade to a suite but even normal rooms were big, clean and what you need. Great, welcoming staff, good breakfast. Great location walking distance to restaurants and bars in Oyster Bay area. Not too far from city centre. Good for city centre break or business stay.

Very nice gym and pool, although this facility caters to locals and was awkward to access the pool to relax as I had to go out of the main hotel, go next door and walk through the gym to access pool.

I really loved my stay here at Colloseum for several reasons. I loved the location and staying in Masaki is absolutely fantastic. The hotel itself was really cool and looked nice. I really appreciate that they had a huge gym where I could do my training. I'll definitely come another time to stay here.

There was nothing really that bothered me.

Staff very friendly and welcoming. Front of desk manager Sonali, extremely professional and gave very good customer service. The evening restaurant staff were fantastic. Service was fast and Barraca I think that was his name was very hospitable.

The bfast staff were slow and disorganised. Some construction work outside which was noisey at times.

Breakfast was consistently good everytime. The location is central to where I needed to be. Very good quality for the money.

The wifi was a disaster though. They tried moving my room twice to accommodate my need to have access to the internet...but that didn't work. I had to sit in the hallway most times to get at least a little connection. I spoke to management and recommended that they upgrade their routers and boost the signal, but that fell on deaf ears unfortunately. Also, I was hoping they had at least a small business center, but they did not.

Hotel has a geotag on Google maps, so you can always get a taxi by Bolt ) Nice pool and gym, neighbourhood is also pleasant.

Very noisy outside air conditioning unit. Check upon check-in and request a change of room if you hear this sound.

1. ROOM - excellent, clean, very spacious, you have safe which is very handy, TV with sport - movie - news channels, aircon worked flawlessly, little fridge for whatever to keep cool. 2. BATHROOM - no problem with hot water, never run out as it is not uncommon in other Dar hotels, pressure is very strong which makes showering really enjoyable, showering amenities added every day 3. BREAKFAST - absolutely no issues, great selection of various food always on the table, chef will prepare any kinds of eggs variations you prefer, fresh juice, coffee ..... great part of my stay was enjoying the breakfast 4. GYM - BIG PLUS !!! , for anyone who likes to exercise this is ultimately the best gym in Dar .... and i know what i am talking about, great selection of machines - free weights - bikes, always kept clean !!, you have a boxing bag, also there are 2 squash courts ...... simply the best, you have a bar with good selection of fresh juices and other various drinks, snacks, protein supplements ... 5. RESTAURANT - extremely satisfied !! .... and apart from other great selection of reasonably priced food they offer - there is just one which stands out - SUSHI !!, you must try the crunchy platter ... it is the most amazing food experience i have experienced in long time !! .... thats why i had it every night )))

restaurant menu is being presented with QR codes, you must have a phone to access it, also i dont find it inconvenient since always with phone - i guess some people might, would be great to keep a few traditional printed menus for people who dont prefer browsing menus on a phone

Better communication btw the property agencies n hotel management as I was promised to get picked up from the airport which was replied by booking.com but the hotel staff or manager had no clue about it n I was left wondering around looking for my car n driver for about 45 mins n finally booked the taxi n headed to the hotel on my expense 😞🙄☹️
