We have a lovely 7 night stay at Baan Nai. Ayeesha was fabulous and everyone was so friendly and helpful and made us feel so welcome. We stayed in the villa by the pool and also in a villa overlooking the lake. Both are very comfortable with nice firm mattresses, very clean with lots of hot water for the shower. The resort is very well cared for and loved and has a beautiful family feel. We rented a motorbike through Baan Nai which we used every day - about £7 a day for a 125. It made getting about really easy. Laundry is charged at 50 baht a kilo and well worth it. We ate in the restaurant on 3 occasions and it was very good - good amount of spice and heat. Good breakfasts too and they will arrange an early breakfast for you if you need to leave before 8am for a trip. The small pool is lovely to cool off in. We went out and about quite a bit and really enjoyed the Dragon Crest walk. The guide books said it’s 8k but we used the app Strava to track it and it was 16k. It’s not a technical walk but it is really steep, full of boulders and tree roots so you have to have a fairly good level of fitness to do it. The views are worth the ascent! Don’t bother with the Pond - it was a large puddle and full of mozzies (in January). We didn’t get time to go to the waterfall. We went to Tub beach afterwards which was pretty and really quiet - no noisy long tails going up and down the beach relentlessly so that was fab. We had a quick lunch at the Sunset Restaurant on the beach. For one main, rice, a Sprite and water it was £9. Expensive but we were tired from the walk so just went to the nearest restaurant to get fed.The main was good and tasty. During our stay we also visited Tiger Caves. Fabulous views at the top in the temple and the caves are worth a look around too. Ao Nang wasn’t our sort of thing. It’s really touristy, loud and very expensive when compared to Krabi town. We did one boat tour - the Hong Islands boat tour busy and touristy - not for us and not worth it.

Ayesha and her sister at reception and restaurant very helpful, its a family run business and new buildings are being built by hand. we booked extra 3 nights and skipped Railay Beach digs they put on a free taxi to beach and piers (we had a hire car) and its ony a 15 minutes walk thru a pleasant park and on to the beach near Ao Nang pier. Food superb and the marine fish in the lake almost koi carp tame and look to be fed (hot dogs by the tin ful) we had 2 types of room, you can choose lake mountain pool side or garden just ask or swap when you are there.

I loved the location - outside the town so it was superquiet and the views were amazing. The bungalow was comfy, the staff very accommodating. The swimming pool - even though small - was lovely and I enjoyed the resort a lot. The resort was actually the highlight of my Thai experience and I would love to come back. A great place to relax.

Breakfasts - poor value for money. The afternoon/evening meals were delicious and reasonably priced but the breakfasts left a bit to be desired. Wi-fi in the room was quite unreliable but I did not find it much of a nuisance as I did not go to Thailand to spend a lot of time online.

Absolutely amazing place, best place we stayed in my opinion for our month trip around thailiand. The staff were amazing and really friendly, the restaurant on the resort was lovely (we loved our iced lattes) an really good prices. So quiet of a night, away from all the hussle and bustle.They also offer lifts to ao nang you just have to make your own way back. Overall 10/10 would highly recommend to anyone.

I loved every second on this place. The family running the place is amazing, so lovely and helpful, and the kids? We had the best moments with them, playing around during the weekend. In the pond they have big fishes, we also spent a lot of our time feeding them. Don't worry about this place seeming out of town, they will take you to the city centre for free every time you need, then you can catch a tuk tuk and come back for yourself for around 200baht. This place really filled my heart. It was exactly what I needed. I will remember it for life

Lovely quiet location and the staff will give you free lifts into town when needed. 10 min drive to town to the beach and lots of restaurants. About 200 baht in a tuk tuk back. Nice small pool

The lake is more of a swamp. We stayed for 2 nights and had to move rooms after 1 night due to bookings which was very annoying. We had an issue with our shower which was eventually fixed but when we asked if we could shower somewhere else rather than have a cold shower the staff did not help, so a freezing shower it was.

The location is great. a couple of miles from the town. The resort offers you a lift to town and you get a taxi back. Even better if you hire a scooter. Lovely setting situated around the lake with a limestone rock just behind the resort. Staff were very friendly and helpful. decent breakfast choice and the huts themselves are comfortable with great air conditioning.

I have nothing to complain about

It is such a beautiful scenery!! We enjoyed our stay very much there. The staff is super kind and they try their best to make your stay perfect! It is also very clean and they offer you a free transportation to the Ao Nang beach. Going back you have to pay the taxi, which is very easy and also cheap in Thailand! Only thing for us was that the beds were a little hard but we guess this is common in Thailand and maybe we are also used to very soft ones. The breakfast was also very delicious! In total it was just great!

The location was gorgeous. We arrived at night so waking up and opening the curtains was breathtaking. The women running the resort were so kind. They accommodated our late arrival by making sure we got something to eat even though it was just after the restaurant closed. We knew we’d be cutting it close ahead of time so we asked and they sent us the menus so we could order before we arrived. Fantastic cook, fresh seafood! Thank you!

It was the most beautiful resort we had during our stay in Thailand!! everything is so clean and beautiful, the view at the lake is stunning!! if you want to stay in Ao Nang this is the best place you can stay :) the staff is also so lovely and they helped us to get a taxi to the airport although we needed to left in 1 hour. The breakfast at the restaurant is also very great, you have many choices and you pay only 150 bath per person.
